Airmar DST800 Bronze Transducer - Depth, Speed, Temp - NMEA 2000 Interface
Airmar DST800 Bronze Transducer - Depth, Speed, Temp - NMEA 2000 Interface Product Description
The DST800 is a Smart Triducer Multisensor that offers depth, speed, and Temperature functions in one compact thru-hull fitting. The low-profile, retractable sensor computes accurate depth, speed, and Temperature data and sends it to any NMEA 2000 display or network.
Airmar's Smart Sensors have embedded microelectronics—the transducer element and signal processor are only millimeters apart. The signals from the sensors are processed right inside the housing itself. All that is needed to receive depth, speed, and Temperature data is a single cable into a compatible network or display.
The wide, port-starboard, fan-shaped beam is able to find the bottom even when installed on a high-deadrise hull or a heeling sailboat.
NOTE: The DST800L is a longer version in a B122 housing.
DST800 Bronze Transducer - Depth, Speed, Temp - NMEA 2000 Interface
Airmar 'Smart' transducers contain active circuitry that converts the sensor data into a standard NMEA format.
NMEA 2000 versions output standard NMEA 2000 data formats and have an NMEA 2000 drop cable attached, ready to plug into a T-connector on a network backbone. These transducers are powered by the network.
Smart depth transducers use the 235kHz frequency so as not to interfere with fishfinder transducers.
Note that there are no NMEA fishfinder transducers. Fishfinder transducers produce a large volume of analog data that cannot be converted to NMEA format.
