Navico ForwardScan® Transducer Kit w/Sleeve & Plug Product Description
Know what lies ahead with ForwardScan. This compact transducer provides a forward-looking view of up to eight times your current depth, allowing you to navigate shallow or poorly-charted waters with confidence. Includes a standard ForwardScan transducer, stainless steel sleeve, and blanking plug.
See a simple, immediately understandable view of the bottom ahead. Bottom Color Tracking shows the bottom as a solid terrain in an uncluttered, side-on picture. For more detail, you can choose to display sonar returns from throughout the water column; these can illustrate other potential hazards such as dock posts. Perfect for cruising, you can also overlay ForwardScan depth data on charts: Heading Line View uses color-coded segments to represent deep, medium, and shallow water ahead. Depths are customizable to suit your boat's draught, and a shallow depth alarm helps to ensure you're never caught unaware.

Know What Lies Ahead: ForwardScan uses forward-looking sonar to give you a clear view of the bottom ahead of your boat. This award-winning technology is a powerful defense against running aground in shallow, unfamiliar, or poorly-charted waters. ForwardScan generally offers a forward view of 4 to 5 times your current depth; for example in 3 Meter of water, see the bottom 12 to 15 Meter (40 to50 Feet) ahead. Under ideal conditions ForwardScan can see even further, looking ahead up to 8 times your current depth. The 180 Kilohertz ForwardScan transducer is designed to minimize interference from common 200 Kilohertz transducers, enabling it to be used alongside existing fish-finding or depth-tracking sonar. Simple 2D View and Chart Overlay: See a simple, immediately understandable view of the bottom ahead. Bottom Color Tracking shows the bottom as a solid terrain in an uncluttered, side-on picture. Operates at 180kHz, reducing interference from traditional 200kHz echosounders
- Built-in temperature sensor
- 50.8mm (2") stainless steel through-hull fitting
- Connects directly to Simrad NSS evo2, or NSO evo2 via SonarHub sounder module
Simrad Prospective Transducer Kit Model: 000-11674-001 Provides water depth information in front of the ship so that the crew can safely navigate in shallow waters or low waters. The ability to look forward can reach 8 times the depth, but the normal working range is 5 times the depth 4 times. Ex 10 depth can perform 80 face-up operations at 180khz to reduce interference from traditional 200khz echo sounders. The transmission and reception speed is 10 times faster than the previous forward-looking system, which can provide real-time updates. Network options: directly connect to sonar hub or nss evo2. nss evo2, nso evo2, zeus 2forwards can provide forward scanning sonar view. For all power and sailing boats that require safety and peace of mind, sonar is the ideal forward-looking two-dimensional echo sounder because they know the depth of the water ahead of the ship. Unlike other forward-looking sound generators, the forward scan can display bottom images up to 8 times the current depth. It is integrated with your onboard ns evo2 or zeus touch and can be fully controlled on any operating station.
