High-Power xHD2 Radar with Narrow 1.8° Beam
This high-definition 12 kW radar has the power to deliver excellent range, up to 72 nautical miles, even in fog or rain. Its narrow 1.8 degree horizontal beamwidth means it can pick out weaker targets further off in the distance than wider beamwidths. The result is this radar paints a clear, concise image of the shoreline, other vessels, and impending weather on your Garmin chartplotter. You get consistent target positions, excellent target separation, and reliable operation. Its 8-bit true color imagery also helps you discriminate large targets from small ones and enhances target separation. Rotation speeds of 24 and 48 rpm with a max range scale of 72 nautical miles.
Bird Mode
Fishermen know, when you find birds at the water's surface, you'll also find fish.
To further improve your fishing experience, use Bird Mode, which helps to locate birds at the water's surface where baitfish are also likely to be found.
Echo Trails
A historical "trail" is left on the screen to help you quickly and easily identify moving targets and potential collision threats.
Dual Range
A single radar antenna is capable of providing split screen images on your chartplotter for both close and long-range.
Dual Radar Support
Provides redundancy and the ability for each display unit on the boat to select data from one of two different radar sources.
Dynamic Auto Gain
Dynamic Auto Gain automatically adjusts gain levels to optimum settings for harbors, near shore, and offshore in open waters.
Dynamic Sea Filter
Dynamic Sea Filter automatically adjusts gain to calm, medium and rough sea conditions.
Radar Overlay
Overlays the radar image on the chartplotter's map page.
MARPA Target Tracking
Mini-automatic radar plotting aid (MARPA) tracks up to 10 selected targets, helping you keep track of other vessels and avoid collisions.
Guard Zone
Set the safety zone and receive an alarm when an object enters the zone.
VRM & EBL
Variable range markers (VRM) and electronic bearing lines (EBL) allow rapid measurements of distance and bearing to vessels and land.
The Power of Simple Radar
This radar is designed to be easy to install and use. There are no complex user settings to fuss around with, just install it and start using it. You can rely on the GMR xHD2 to provide reliable, optimum performance in all conditions.

The GMR 1226 xHD2 radar is an impressive device with a design that is easy to install and use. There are no complicated user settings to enter, in most cases, just turn it on and start using it. The dynamic automatic gain will automatically adjust to the best setting for your location, and the dynamic seawater filter will automatically adjust the gain for all sea conditions, whether you are running in calm waters or in rough seas. The incredibly tight beam width of 1.1' provides excellent target separation at a distance or nearby, for example, if you are approaching two ships, due to poor target separation, but on some radars due to GMR on the screen With a radar showing 1226 xHD2, you will see two ships and know which route to turn to avoid contact. The 12 kW power and 6-foot array GMR 1226 xHD2 has a maximum range of 72 nautical miles and a rotation speed of 24 or 48 rpm, which provides fast scan time, thereby shortening the distance that the ship can travel between scans. Every serious fisherman will tell you that the ability to watch birds increases the chance of fishing, and Garmin GMR 1226 xHD2 Radar & Pedestal has a "bird" mode that can improve your fishing experience by positioning the bird on the water where the bait fish is located. The "echo tracking" function that GMR 1226 xHD can provide is a very valuable tool when evaluating the possibility of collision threats on moving targets. You can also use the GMR 1226 xHD radar and its "dual range" setting to view split-screen images from the radar, displaying both close-range and long-range images. The GMR 1226 xHD2 radar is definitely not suitable for small boaters or people with a small budget, but if you are buying one of the best open array radars on the market for Garmin multi-function displays or the Internet, then you will find the best radar. It is the GMR 1226 xHD2 radar and base.
