Humminbird APEX 19 MSI+ 19" Full HD Chartplotter Touchscreen — Product description

The Humminbird APEX 19 MSI+ (411240-1) is the flagship 19-inch full-HD chartplotter / fishfinder for serious tournament bass anglers and offshore fishermen who demand the largest screen Humminbird makes plus the company's best sonar suite all integrated. 18.5-inch full-HD touchscreen (1920 x 1080 resolution), Cross Touch dual-input interface (operate by touchscreen or soft keys), Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar standard, MEGA Side Imaging+ (extends 200 feet on each side with 20 percent more detail than older MEGA SI), MEGA Down Imaging+ (200-foot depth with 20 percent more clarity than older MEGA DI), dedicated sonar channel for accessory 2D CHIRP transducers up to 2 kilowatts (deep-water offshore), MEGA Live and MEGA 360 Imaging accessory ready, NMEA 2000 networking plus HDMI in / out, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, preloaded charts of 10,000+ lakes plus continental U.S. coastal coverage, full One-Boat Network ecosystem integration. Two-year limited warranty.

The Humminbird APEX 19 MSI+ is the top-of-line 19-inch flagship chartplotter / fishfinder in the Humminbird APEX series - the largest screen Humminbird makes and the most feature-complete model in the lineup. For boats with helm space for a 19-inch display and operators who want the best Humminbird has to offer, the APEX 19 MSI+ is the no-compromises pick. The premium pricing reflects the premium product positioning - this is the flagship MFD for serious tournament bass anglers and offshore fishermen.

What sets APEX apart from HELIX. The APEX series is Humminbird's premium MFD line, sitting above the HELIX series in the product hierarchy. Three meaningful differences. One: bigger displays. APEX runs from 13 inches up to 19 inches. HELIX caps at 15 inches. Two: full-HD resolution. APEX's 1920 x 1080 resolution is meaningfully sharper than HELIX's 1280 x 800 - matters for the larger screen sizes where pixel density would otherwise look coarse. Three: Cross Touch dual-input interface. APEX accepts both touchscreen input AND traditional keypad / soft-key input, so you can use whichever is convenient at the moment. HELIX is keypad-only.

19-inch full-HD touchscreen with Cross Touch interface. The 18.5-inch viewable display (19-inch class) at 1920 x 1080 full-HD resolution is the largest Humminbird offers. The screen size meaningfully changes how you fish - at 19 inches diagonal, you can simultaneously display the chart, the MEGA SI+ feed, the MEGA DI+ feed, the 2D CHIRP sonar, AND a window of supporting data (engine, GPS, etc.) without crowding any element off the screen. For tournament fishermen running multiple sonar feeds at once, the screen real estate is meaningful - it's the size jump that actually changes how you read the water. The Cross Touch interface lets you tap the screen for direct interaction OR use the dedicated soft keys for tactile control - useful in rough conditions where touchscreen accuracy suffers - you don't end up jabbing the wrong menu icon when the boat's bouncing.

MEGA Side Imaging+ - 200 feet, 20 percent more detail. MEGA SI+ is the upgrade over standard MEGA Side Imaging. Two improvements. One: extended range to 200 feet on each side of the boat. Two: 20 percent more detail in the imagery (effectively higher resolution at any given range). For boats scanning structure to find productive fishing spots, the SI+ upgrade meaningfully improves the workflow versus older MEGA SI - more area covered per pass, more detail to identify structure types and individual targets.

MEGA Down Imaging+ - 200 feet, 20 percent more clarity. Same improvements applied to down-imaging. Effective depth extended to 200 feet (versus 125 feet on the standard MEGA DI), and 20 percent more clarity at any given depth. For boats fishing deeper structure or working detailed bottom identification, the DI+ upgrade is meaningful.

Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar standard. The traditional CHIRP fishfinder mode is built in, with industry-leading 2.5-inch target separation. Display two simultaneous CHIRP frequencies on split-screen for both wide-area scanning and tight-column resolution. Standard on every APEX - not an accessory upgrade.

Dedicated sonar channel for 2kW transducers. The APEX has a dedicated sonar processing channel for accessory 2D CHIRP transducers up to 2 kilowatts of transmitter power. 2kW is meaningfully more power than the typical 600W-1kW transducers most fishfinders support - the higher power penetrates deeper water (5,000+ feet of effective depth versus 1,500-3,000 feet for lower-power transducers) and gives meaningfully better target detection at long ranges. For serious offshore deep-water fishing (tuna, swordfish, deep-water bottom fishing), the 2kW transducer support is the meaningful capability that distinguishes APEX from HELIX in offshore applications.

MEGA Live and MEGA 360 Imaging ready. The APEX 19 MSI+ accepts the MEGA Live (live-imaging real-time sonar) and MEGA 360 Imaging (360-degree spinning sonar that scans all around the boat) accessory transducers. Connect either accessory transducer via the appropriate Ethernet cable, and the live or 360 imaging displays as a sonar source on the APEX. For boats running serious tournament sonar setups, the APEX-class chartplotter is the right brain for these advanced sonar accessories.

Preloaded charts. The APEX ships with charts of 10,000+ lakes plus continental U.S. coastal coverage preloaded - meaningful for anglers who fish multiple lakes or coastal areas without needing to purchase regional chart cards for each new fishing area. For premium chart detail beyond the preloaded coverage, LakeMaster premium chart cards (the deepest freshwater detail) and Navionics chart cards are supported via the SD slots.

Full networking suite. NMEA 2000 (engine data, fuel sensors, environmental sensors, AIS receivers, the broader marine sensor ecosystem). HDMI in (display video from external sources - cameras, video players, computers) and HDMI out (mirror the APEX display to a secondary monitor). Built-in Wi-Fi (chart updates, OBN app pairing, mobile device tethering). Built-in Bluetooth (accessory pairing, audio streaming).

One-Boat Network ecosystem integration. APEX is the centerpiece of the One-Boat Network ecosystem - the integration platform that connects compatible Humminbird-family fishfinders with compatible OBN trolling motors, downriggers, ice-fishing accessories, and other OBN devices. With the APEX 19 MSI+ as the central display, you control all the boat's connected fishing electronics from one screen: trolling motor functions (Spot-Lock, AutoPilot, speed, steering, auto stow / deploy on supported motors), downrigger functions (deploy depth, retrieve, Cannon Optimum integration for the Cannon downrigger line), and other OBN-compatible accessories.

Trolling motor integration. The APEX integrates with compatible OBN trolling motors via the One-Boat Network. Trolling motor functions appear on the APEX display: Spot-Lock activation, GPS-anchor confirmation, AutoPilot heading lock, speed adjustment, steering, and auto stow / deploy on supported trolling motor models. For boats running both an APEX chartplotter and a compatible OBN trolling motor, the APEX becomes the centralized control point - meaningful versus running separate proprietary trolling motor remotes.

Cannon Optimum downrigger control. For boats running Cannon Optimum downriggers, the APEX provides wireless control - deploy depth, retrieve speed, multi-rigger coordination - all from the APEX display. Cannon Optimum is the modern Cannon downrigger line with wireless OBN integration. for older Cannon downriggers, OBN integration may be limited to status display only.

Cross Touch interface in detail. The Cross Touch dual-input system accepts both touchscreen tap / swipe / pinch gestures AND traditional keypad / soft-key inputs. The keypad / soft keys are positioned along the bezel for easy access without obscuring the screen. Use touchscreen for rapid menu navigation in calm conditions. use the keypad for precise input when the boat is rocking or fingers are wet / gloved. The dual-input flexibility is meaningful for serious fishing where you can't always count on stable boat conditions or dry hands.

Install. Mount the APEX 19 MSI+ in a flush-mount cutout in the helm panel (typical) or via the included gimbal mount bracket (alternative). The 19-inch chassis requires a meaningful helm panel area - measure your panel cutout against the chassis dimensions before ordering. Connect the appropriate transducer for your sonar mode preference (transducer sold separately). Connect to NMEA 2000 and / or Ethernet networks as required. Wire 12V or 24V DC power. Total install time is typically 4-8 hours for a competent boat owner with helm modification skills, more if extensive helm panel modification is needed for the 19-inch cutout.

Two-year limited warranty. Standard Humminbird warranty terms apply. MAP-enforced pricing.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between APEX and HELIX?

APEX is Humminbird's premium MFD series. HELIX is the mid-tier. Three meaningful differences. Bigger displays: APEX runs 13-19 inches, HELIX caps at 15 inches. Higher resolution: APEX is full-HD 1920 x 1080, HELIX is 1280 x 800. Cross Touch input: APEX accepts both touchscreen and soft-key input, HELIX is keypad-only. APEX also supports the 2 kW deep-water transducer channel that HELIX doesn't have. For serious tournament fishermen and offshore boats wanting the best Humminbird makes, APEX is the upgrade.

What's MSI+ versus MSI?

MSI+ extends MEGA Side Imaging in two ways. Range: 200 feet on each side (versus 125 feet for older MEGA SI). Detail: 20 percent more detail at any range. The MSI+ generation is meaningfully better for boats scanning structure to find productive spots - more area covered per pass, more detail to identify structure types. The APEX 19 MSI+ ships with the MSI+ as the standard sonar capability.

What does Cross Touch mean?

Dual-input interface that accepts both touchscreen input AND traditional keypad / soft-key inputs. Use touchscreen for rapid menu navigation in calm conditions. use keypad for precise input when boat is rocking or fingers are wet / gloved. The flexibility is meaningful for serious fishing where you can't always count on stable boat conditions or dry hands. Soft keys are positioned along the bezel for easy access without obscuring the screen.

Does it include a transducer?

No - the APEX 19 MSI+ ships without a transducer. The right transducer depends on your boat, fishing style, and which sonar modes you want. For full MSI+ + DI+ + Dual Spectrum CHIRP, the typical transducer is the SOLIX-class through-hull or transom-mount. For deep-water 2kW offshore work, a separate 2kW CHIRP transducer is required (uses the dedicated sonar channel). Verify your transducer choice with Humminbird's compatibility documentation before ordering.

What charts come preloaded?

10,000+ lakes plus continental U.S. coastal coverage. Sufficient for most North American fishing without additional chart purchase. For premium chart detail (1-foot bathymetric contours, advanced features), add a LakeMaster premium card (the deepest freshwater detail) or a Navionics card via the SD slots. The APEX has dual SD slots for running both an OBN card and a chart card simultaneously.

Will it work with my OBN trolling motor?

Yes - the APEX is the centerpiece of the One-Boat Network ecosystem. Compatible OBN trolling motors integrate via the OBN, and trolling motor functions appear on the APEX display: Spot-Lock activation, AutoPilot heading lock, speed / steering adjustment, auto stow / deploy on supported models. The APEX becomes the centralized control point versus running a separate proprietary trolling motor remote.

What about MEGA Live?

The APEX 19 MSI+ is MEGA Live ready. Connect a MEGA Live transducer via Ethernet, and the live-imaging sonar appears as a sonar source on the APEX. MEGA Live shows fish swimming around the boat in real time - meaningful for tournament bass anglers tracking individual fish behavior. The MEGA Live transducer is sold separately as an accessory.

What about MEGA 360 Imaging?

The APEX 19 MSI+ is MEGA 360 Imaging ready. Connect a MEGA 360 transducer (the spinning sonar that scans 360 degrees around the boat), and the 360 imagery appears on the APEX. MEGA 360 sweeps up to 125 feet in every direction even while the boat is sitting still - useful for fishing structure when you're anchored over a spot. The MEGA 360 transducer is sold separately.

What's the 2kW capability?

Dedicated sonar channel for accessory 2D CHIRP transducers up to 2 kilowatts of transmitter power. 2kW transducers penetrate deeper water (5,000+ feet effective depth versus 1,500-3,000 feet for typical 600W-1kW transducers) and give meaningfully better target detection at long range. For offshore deep-water fishing (tuna, swordfish, deep bottom fishing), the 2kW capability is the meaningful difference between APEX and HELIX. The 2kW transducer is sold separately.

Does it have HDMI?

Yes - HDMI in and HDMI out. HDMI in lets you display video from external sources (marine cameras, video players, computers) on the APEX. HDMI out mirrors the APEX display to a secondary monitor (useful for boats with multiple display stations or for sharing the chartplotter view in the cabin). Both meaningful for boats running multi-display configurations.

How big is it physically?

Significantly larger than the typical chartplotter - 19-inch class diagonal display. Verify your helm panel cutout dimensions against the APEX 19's chassis dimensions before ordering - some boats need helm panel modification to accommodate the 19-inch unit. For boats with limited helm space, the smaller APEX 13 / 16 variants are the right call (full HD same resolution scaled to smaller screens).

What's the warranty?

Two-year limited warranty (standard Humminbird terms - covers manufacturing defects under normal use). Service runs through the Humminbird authorized service network. MAP-enforced pricing - the listed price is the manufacturer minimum advertised price.
