Humminbird SOLIX 10 CHIRP MEGA SI+ G3 Display Only — Product description

The Humminbird SOLIX 10 CHIRP MEGA SI+ G3 (Control Head Only) is the 10-inch SOLIX flagship MFD without the bundled transducer, sized for owners who already have a compatible MEGA-capable transducer or who want to order the specific MEGA SI+ transducer separately. 10.1-inch Cross Touch display with both touchscreen and soft-key control, MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+ that reaches 250 feet to either side and below the boat with 20 percent better detail than the previous generation, Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar, AutoChart Live for building your own bathymetry, and the latest G3 generation processor.

The Humminbird SOLIX 10 CHIRP MEGA SI+ G3 Control Head Only (model 411530-1CHO, the CHO suffix indicating no-transducer configuration) is the 10-inch SOLIX flagship MFD configured as a head-unit-only purchase. The right SKU for boat owners who already have a compatible MEGA-capable Humminbird transducer or who want to order the specific MEGA SI+ transducer that fits their boat separately. Same SOLIX 10 head unit and same feature set as the bundled SKUs, lower cost because you're not paying twice for a transducer you don't need.

What the SOLIX line is. Humminbird's flagship MFD line, sized in 10, 12, and 15-inch screen variants. Cross Touch interface combining a high-resolution touchscreen with hardware soft keys for the operations that touch is bad at in marine conditions. The latest G3 generation runs on a faster processor than the G2 generation it replaces, which means smoother chart panning, faster app switching, and the headroom to run multiple sonar sources simultaneously without slowdown. Compared to the HELIX line (which is the mid-tier Humminbird), SOLIX has a brighter optical-bonded display, faster processing, full Cross Touch, and a more capable networking architecture.

The 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display is the practical sweet spot for serious bass and bay boats and for inshore center consoles. Big enough for genuinely usable split-screen (chart plus sonar plus MEGA Side Imaging plus MEGA Down Imaging in four panels, all readable at helm distance), small enough to fit a typical helm dash without requiring a custom cut. The optical-bonded LCD eliminates internal reflections and reads clearly in direct sunlight on the open water.

Cross Touch interface is the SOLIX-specific control style. Touchscreen handles operations that touch is good at: pinch to zoom, drag to pan, tap to select, navigate menus. The hardware soft keys on the right side of the bezel handle operations that touch is bad at when the screen is wet or your fingers are salty: confirming critical inputs, marking waypoints, switching pages, adjusting common settings. The combination is more reliable in real marine conditions than a pure touchscreen interface.

MEGA Side Imaging+ (MSI+) is the headline sonar feature. The plus generation delivers up to 250 feet of side-scan coverage on each side of the boat at the high-detail MEGA frequencies, with 20 percent better detail than the previous generation. Find structure on a search pass, mark the waypoint, come back and fish it. For inshore tournament fishing, looking for brush piles, isolated humps, road beds, and other fish-holding structure, MEGA SI+ is the primary tool that has changed how serious anglers fish.

MEGA Down Imaging+ (MDI+) is the same MEGA frequency technology pointing straight down. Up to 250 feet of high-detail down imaging shows photo-quality views of what's directly below the boat. Run MEGA DI+ on a split screen alongside Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar and you get both the photo-quality structure view and the traditional fish-arch presentation simultaneously. Most serious anglers run both views together.

Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar is the standard 2D sonar with the Humminbird CHIRP refinement that delivers tight target separation. Two CHIRP frequency bands work simultaneously: the narrow band for high-resolution target separation in the immediate water column, the wide band for broader coverage and deeper bottom reach. Together they give you better fish-arch identification than older single-frequency sonars and let you distinguish individual fish in tightly grouped schools.

AutoChart Live is the make-your-own-bathymetric-chart feature. Drive the boat over the area you want to map, the unit records depth and bottom hardness in real time, and you have your own custom chart of that spot saved to the SD card. Especially useful for fishing small ponds and lakes that don't have detailed commercial coverage, or for mapping a specific productive area in finer detail than commercial charts provide. Save the chart, fish it again next time with your custom bathymetry on the screen.

Built-in precision GPS handles positioning with the accuracy needed for waypoint integrity, autopilot integration, and trolling motor spot-lock. 10,000 waypoint capacity is way more than any reasonable user will fill on a single body of water. serious tournament anglers use it for spot collections that span multiple lakes and rivers across a fishing season.

Cartography. Compatible with Humminbird Basemap, LakeMaster, CoastMaster, and AutoChart Pro charts via the SD card slots. Also compatible with Navionics+ and Navionics Vision+ charts for boats that prefer the Navionics ecosystem. Drop the right chart card in the slot for your fishing area and you have full chart coverage immediately.

Cross Touch / soft-key control with the customizable home screen lets you put the views and functions you actually use front-and-center. Different anglers configure SOLIX home screens differently based on their fishing style: a tournament bass angler runs MEGA Side Imaging plus chart plus traditional sonar, a deep-water structure fisherman runs CHIRP plus MEGA Down Imaging plus chart, a saltwater inshore angler runs chart plus side imaging plus traditional sonar with engine instruments. Configure once, fish without fighting the menu.

The CHO (Control Head Only) part suffix means no transducer in the box. The right transducers to pair with this head unit depend on your boat and fishing. Common pairings: the XTM 9 HW MSI T (transom-mount MEGA SI+ for boats without trolling motor mount), the XTM 14 HW MSI T (deeper-V transom mount), or various trolling-motor-mount MEGA SI+ transducers for bass boats. Confirm transducer compatibility before ordering, especially if you're connecting an existing transducer from an older Humminbird unit.

Networking. Humminbird Ethernet (the AS-ETH-5PGL or AS ETH 5PXG switch) for connecting multiple SOLIX or HELIX displays on the same boat with shared sonar, charts, waypoints, and routes. NMEA 2000 for engine, autopilot, and instrument integration. Compatible with the Humminbird MEGA Live live-scanning sonar and TargetLock for the most advanced fish-finding capability available on the platform.

What this isn't. It is not the SOLIX 12 or SOLIX 15 (larger SOLIX displays with the same feature set in bigger screens). It is not the HELIX line (the mid-tier Humminbird MFD line, which has a sufficient display but lacks Cross Touch, runs slower processors, and uses a different chassis). It is not a transducer-included SKU.

1-Year Limited Humminbird warranty. Same-day shipping before 3 PM ET on in-stock units.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this SKU come without a transducer?

This is the Control Head Only (CHO) configuration for boat owners who already have a compatible MEGA-capable Humminbird transducer or who want to order the specific MEGA SI+ transducer that fits their boat separately. The bundled SKUs (with transducer included) cost more because you're paying for both the display and a specific transducer. If you don't need that specific transducer, the CHO SKU saves money. Common transducer pairings: XTM 9 HW MSI T (transom MEGA SI+), XTM 14 HW MSI T (deeper-V transom), or various trolling-motor-mount MEGA SI+ transducers.

What's the difference between SOLIX and HELIX?

SOLIX is the flagship Humminbird MFD line: brighter optical-bonded display, Cross Touch interface, faster processor, more capable networking. HELIX is the mid-tier line: sufficient display but no Cross Touch, slower processor, simpler chassis. For serious tournament fishing or for owners who want the best Humminbird display, SOLIX is the right choice. For most recreational fishing where the HELIX is plenty, HELIX saves money. Both run the same MEGA Imaging and Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar features.

What's MEGA Side Imaging+?

MEGA frequency side-scanning sonar that delivers up to 250 feet of side-scan coverage on each side of the boat with 20 percent better detail than the previous generation MEGA Side Imaging. The MEGA frequencies (around 1.2 MHz) deliver much higher detail than older 455 / 800 kHz side imaging, at the cost of shorter range. For most inshore and shallow-water fishing where range matters less than detail, MEGA SI+ is the right side-imaging technology.

What's Cross Touch?

Touchscreen plus hardware soft-key control combined into one interface. Touchscreen handles pinch-zoom, drag-pan, tap-select. Hardware buttons on the right bezel handle marking waypoints, page switching, and operations that touch is bad at when the screen is wet or your hands are salty. The combination is more reliable in real marine conditions than a pure touchscreen.

What charts does it work with?

Humminbird Basemap (built in), LakeMaster lake-specific charts, CoastMaster nearshore and coastal charts, AutoChart Pro for custom mapping, plus Navionics+ and Navionics Vision+ for boats that prefer the Navionics ecosystem. SD card slots accept any of those formats. Drop the right chart card in for your fishing area and you have full coverage.

How does AutoChart Live work?

Drive the boat over the area you want to map. The unit records depth and bottom hardness data in real time. Save the resulting chart to the SD card. Fish that spot next time with your own custom bathymetry on the screen. Especially useful for small ponds and lakes that don't have detailed commercial chart coverage, and for mapping productive areas at finer resolution than commercial charts provide.

Can I run multiple SOLIX displays on one boat?

Yes, with the AS-ETH-5PGL or AS ETH 5PXG Humminbird Ethernet switch (sold separately). Connect multiple SOLIX or HELIX displays via the Ethernet switch and they share sonar, charts, waypoints, and routes across the entire network. Standard config for serious tournament boats: SOLIX 12 at the helm, SOLIX 10 at the bow for the trolling-motor angler, both networked.

Will it work with MEGA Live?

Yes. SOLIX is the right Humminbird platform for MEGA Live, the live-scanning forward-facing sonar. Connect the MEGA Live transducer and module via the Ethernet network and the SOLIX displays the live-scanning imagery. For serious bass and walleye tournament fishing, MEGA Live plus MEGA SI+ is the modern dual-sonar setup that defines competitive fishing.

How is it different from G2?

G3 is the newer generation with a faster processor, smoother chart panning, faster app switching, and the headroom to run multiple sonar sources simultaneously without slowdown. G2 hardware is still capable but G3 is the current production generation and is the better long-term choice for new installs.

What's in the box?

The SOLIX 10 CHIRP MEGA SI+ G3 head unit, the bail mount with hardware (gimbal mount), the power and data cabling, the protective sun cover, and the install / operation manual. No transducer (this is the CHO configuration). The flush-mount kit is sold separately for installs that want a clean dash-flush appearance.

What's the warranty?

Standard 1-Year Limited Humminbird warranty on parts and workmanship. Service runs through the Humminbird authorized dealer network in the U.S.
