Raymarine Axiom+ 12 RV Chartplotter/Fishfinder Bundle

The Raymarine Axiom+ 12 RV is the bundle version of the Axiom+ 12 chartplotter that adds built-in RealVision 3D sonar processing, the RV-100 transom-mount transducer, and Navionics+ North America chart cartography - producing a complete chartplotter/fishfinder solution that doesn't require any additional purchases for typical recreational fishing applications. For new boat owners or for owners replacing an aging chartplotter and fishfinder simultaneously, the RV bundle is significantly more cost-effective than buying the components separately and produces a cleanly-integrated system tuned to work together.

What "RV" means in the Axiom+ 12 RV designation. The RV suffix indicates RealVision 3D sonar capability. The Axiom+ 12 RV has the same chartplotter hardware as the standard Axiom+ 12 PLUS internal sonar processing electronics that drive the RV-100 transducer to produce RealVision 3D imagery. The non-RV Axiom+ 12 is MFD-only (no built-in sonar) and requires a separate external sonar module for fishfinding. For owners who want fishfinding capability without the install complexity and cost of a separate sonar module, the RV variant is the right choice.

RealVision 3D - the sonar imaging breakthrough. Traditional sonar shows the underwater world as a 2D image (CHIRP shows fish arcs and bottom profile, ClearVu/DownVision shows photo-like flat down-imaging, SideVu/SideVision shows photo-like flat side-imaging). RealVision 3D renders the underwater environment in actual 3D - the bottom, structure, and fish targets show as a rotatable 3D surface that you can pan, zoom, and tilt - it's the actual underwater scene on the chartplotter screen. The 3D view shows depth relationships between fish and structure in a way that flat 2D views can't even attempt to show. you'll see't - you see whether a fish is suspended 3 feet off a brush pile or hugging the bottom of a rock pile. For competitive fishing or detail-focused fishfinding, the 3D view provides genuinely different information than 2D sonar.

The RV-100 transducer details. The included RV-100 transducer is the transom-mount Raymarine transducer designed specifically for the RealVision 3D sonar mode plus the standard scanning sonar modes. The transducer provides four sonar capabilities in one body: (1) RealVision 3D - the 3D rendered view. (2) CHIRP DownVision - high-resolution down-imaging similar to ClearVu on competing systems. (3) CHIRP SideVision - high-resolution side-imaging. (4) High-CHIRP traditional sonar - fish arcs and bottom profile. All four modes work simultaneously - the chartplotter can split the screen to show 2D traditional + DownVision + SideVision + 3D in a four-panel view, or focus on one or two modes at a time. The RV-100 is a transom-mount transducer (installs on the back of the boat below the waterline) - if you want a trolling-motor-mount version instead, look at the RV-200 variant.

Quad-core processor handles the sonar processing load. The Axiom+ 12's quad-core processor is genuinely necessary for smooth RealVision 3D rendering - 3D sonar imagery is computationally demanding to render and the original Axiom's single-core processor was the limiting factor on 3D rendering quality. The Axiom+ 12's processor delivers smooth 3D rendering with no lag even when other sonar modes are running simultaneously in split-screen.

1,800-nit IPS display for sunlight readability. The Axiom+ 12's display is bright enough to stay clear in direct sun and high-resolution enough to show fine detail in the 3D sonar rendering. The IPS panel provides wide viewing angles (multiple operators can see the same view from different positions around the helm) and high contrast in all lighting conditions. Day/night color palettes optimize the display for sunny or low-light conditions.

LightHouse 3 OS. Raymarine's intuitive operating system drives the user interface - smartphone-style touchscreen gestures (pinch-zoom, swipe to switch pages, drag to pan), fast access to commonly-used functions via quick-access menus, and integrated apps for navigation, sonar, radar, audio, and connected boat systems. LightHouse 3 is one of the more user-friendly marine MFD operating systems and the Axiom+ 12 RV operates the same as the non-RV variant from a user perspective - just with sonar pages available that the non-RV variant doesn't have.

ClearCruise Augmented Reality. Same AR feature as the non-RV Axiom+ 12 - overlay navigation data, AIS targets, waypoints, and other information on a live video feed from a forward-facing camera. AR overlay works on top of sonar pages too - showing the boat's surroundings via camera with sonar data overlaid on the bottom of the screen.

Pre-loaded Navionics+ North America charts. You're set out of the box, the chartplotter ships with detailed Navionics+ charts covering US and Canadian waters - inland lakes, coastal navigation, Sonar Chart community bathymetry, and route planning data. You don't need to purchase additional charts for typical recreational US-based boating. The chartplotter also accepts LightHouse charts (Raymarine's free chart product) and C-MAP charts (alternative chart product) via SD card for international coverage or alternative chart product preferences.

Network with multiple Axiom displays and Raymarine accessories. Same network capability as the non-RV Axiom+ 12 - share data across multiple Axiom displays at different helm stations, integrate Raymarine radars, AIS receivers, audio systems, IP cameras, and Sat WX/Audio receivers. Even though the Axiom+ 12 RV has built-in sonar, you can still add external Raymarine sonar modules to the network if you want additional sonar capability (e.g., a CP-series dedicated CHIRP sonar module for serious offshore deep-water fishfinding alongside the integrated RV-100 for shallow-water imaging).

HydroTough nano-coated impact-resistant glass screen. Repels water, oil, and smudges for clear viewing and accurate touchscreen response when the screen is wet from spray or rain. The 12-inch display takes spray and rain at exposed helm positions without losing touchscreen responsiveness - critical for sportfish boats and center consoles where the helm gets wet.

10 Hz GPS/GNSS receiver with 4X increased sensitivity. The built-in GPS updates position 10 times per second with significantly better sensitivity than the previous Axiom generation. Smooth position tracking, accurate course-over-ground, fast lock times, reliable operation under heavy canopy or in marinas with overhead structure.

Compatible with the full Raymarine ecosystem. Beyond the sonar and chart cartography included in the bundle, the Axiom+ 12 RV networks with Raymarine radars (Quantum 2 Doppler dome, Magnum open array), additional sonar modules (CP-series for deep-water CHIRP), AIS receivers, autopilots (Evolution series), audio systems, and IP cameras.
