MultiPlus 24/3000/70-50 120V VE.Bus - The MultiPlus, as the name suggests, is a combined inverter and charger in one elegant package. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, plus multiple system integration features. The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery. In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption. Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. Please check our datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three phase and split phase capabilities. When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems' locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC for multiple operating systems. There is no end to the level of control, from adjusting your Multi to auto starting a backup generator and more.

What's the difference between this and modified sine wave inverters?
The Victron MultiPlus produces true pure sine wave output identical to shore power, making it safe for all electronics, computers, medical equipment, and sensitive instruments. How does PowerAssist technology work?

Can I parallel multiple MultiPlus units?

What size battery bank is recommended?
For optimal performance with 3000W continuous output, a minimum 600-800 amp-hour 24V battery bank is recommended. Larger banks provide longer runtime and better battery life. Use quality deep-cycle marine batteries or lithium systems.

In addition to these main functions, MultiPlus also has some advanced functions, as described below. The main output has an uninterrupted function. In the event of a grid failure or the shore/generator power supply is disconnected, MultiPlus will take over the power supply of the connected load. This happens very quickly (less than 20 milliseconds), so computers and other electronic devices will continue to operate without interference. The second output is valid only when there is AC power on the input of the MultiPlus. Loads that should not be discharged (such as water heaters) can be connected to this output (the second output can be used for models with a rated power of 3kVA or higher).
