Lumishore TIX403 EOS 2-Light Underwater Set with Command Center
Lumishore TIX403 EOS 2-Light Underwater Set with Command Center — Product description
Lumishore's two-light TIX403 EOS color-change underwater package with the Lumi-Link Command Center, EOS i-Connect Hub, and 5-meter DMX cable. 9,000 raw lumens (4,000 fixture lumens) per light, 110-degree beam, 12/24V, full-spectrum color with 12 presets, infinite-color, color sweep, scene control, DMX, and sound-to-music. TIX models are serviceable from inside the hull without hauling the boat.
This package is the complete Lumishore EOS Series two-light setup for boats in the 28-to-45-foot range that want full-spectrum underwater lighting without piecing together components from separate part numbers. Two TIX403 EOS thru-hull fixtures, the Lumi-Link Command Center for system control, the EOS i-Connect Hub for MFD network integration, the 5-meter DMX cable to chain the fixtures, and all the installation hardware ship in one kit. For most center consoles and sport-fishing boats, two TIX403s on either side of the transom is the right starting count. Larger boats often add a third or a fourth fixture mid-hull.
The TIX403 itself sits at the middle of the EOS Series thru-hull lineup. Each light pushes 9,000 raw LED lumens through the fixture optics for a delivered 4,000 fixture lumens in the water at a 110-degree beam angle. The LED engine is built from 12 white, 12 blue, 12 green, and 16 red emitters, which is the array Lumishore designed around to hit accurate skin tones in white mode and clean primaries in the color modes without the cyan-and-magenta dead zones that lesser RGB fixtures show. Color modes include 12 factory color presets, infinite color choice through the controller wheel, color sweep (smooth fade through the spectrum), color scenes (preset multi-color sequences), DMX control for theatrical-grade programming, and sound-to-music mode that pulses the lights with the boat's audio system. White mode hits 4,000 fixture lumens at full output, which is what you want for divers swimming around the boat at anchor or for general transom illumination at the dock.
The TIX prefix in the model name calls out one of the most important features for owners: internal driver. The driver electronics live behind the lens and the fixture is serviceable from inside the hull. If the driver fails or you want to swap the fixture during a refit, you don't need to haul the boat. This is the practical difference between the TIX line and the THX line in the EOS family. THX fixtures have external drivers and are slightly less expensive but require a haul-out for any service. For owners who keep boats at a slip and want lights they can replace without scheduling yard time, TIX is the right answer. The flush-fit design with extremely low profile suits transom, side-hull, and bottom mounting. All EOS thru-hull lights use Lumishore's standard 1-inch fitting.
System control happens through three connected paths. The Lumi-Link Command Center in the kit is the dedicated controller that handles all the color modes, brightness, sound-to-music sync, and DMX scenes from a single panel. Alternately, the EOS i-Connect Hub bridges the lighting system to a compatible MFD on the marine network, so you can control the lights from the chartplotter at the helm instead of a separate dash-mounted controller. That keeps the helm clean if you don't want a dedicated lighting panel. The Lumi-Link app on iPhone gives wireless control over Wi-Fi for guests or for tweaking the lights from the cockpit without walking back to the helm. The compatible MFD list covers the current Lumishore-partner chartplotter families. We can confirm your specific MFD model integrates with Lumi-Link before you order.
Two install considerations worth flagging. The first is power. Each TIX403 draws meaningful current at full white output, and the two lights together on a 12V system pull enough to want a properly sized circuit with adequate cable from the house bank. For 24V installs the current draw drops accordingly. The second is the thru-hull hole itself. A two-light install means cutting two precise holes in the transom (or bottom), which is a job for a marine fabricator or installer rather than a weekend project. The fixtures are flush-fit and self-aligning once the hole is cut to the template, but the hole has to be cut to spec. We can recommend an installer in your area. Note: the package is sold as a complete two-light kit with the Command Center, i-Connect Hub, and DMX cable. If you decide later you want a third fixture, you order the single TIX403 separately and chain it onto the existing DMX run.

Two-light underwater installs need a few things confirmed before you commit. Boat hull material (cored or solid), transom thickness, available helm space for the Command Center, and your MFD model if you want chartplotter integration. Send us those four items and we'll confirm the TIX403 two-light kit is the right configuration for your boat or recommend a different EOS variant if it isn't.

Frequently asked questions
Is this really a complete two-light kit?
Yes. Two TIX403 EOS color-change fixtures, the Lumi-Link Command Center for dedicated control, the EOS i-Connect Hub for MFD integration, the 5-meter DMX cable to chain the lights, the mounting hardware, and the documentation all ship in one box. The only thing you add is the install labor and the power feed from the house bank.
What's the difference between TIX and THX fixtures?
The driver location. TIX fixtures have the driver electronics built into the fixture body, so the whole unit is serviceable from inside the hull without hauling the boat. THX fixtures have an external driver and a slightly lower price, but require a haul-out for any service. For boats kept at a slip year-round, TIX is the right pick.
How bright is the TIX403 compared to the TIX803 or other EOS models?
The TIX403 delivers 4,000 fixture lumens in white mode at 110-degree beam. The larger TIX803 doubles that to 8,000 fixture lumens at the same beam angle for boats that need more output. The smaller TIX203 sits at about 2,000 fixture lumens. For boats in the 28-to-45 foot range, the TIX403 hits the right balance of output, fixture size, and power draw.
Will two lights be enough for my boat?
For most 28-to-45 foot boats, yes. Two TIX403s mounted on either side of the transom give you full water coverage off the stern, which is where you spend most evenings at anchor with the lights on. Larger boats (50+ feet) usually run three or four fixtures with additional units mid-hull or amidships for full-perimeter coverage. The DMX backbone in this kit accepts additional fixtures if you decide to expand.
How do I control the lights?
Three options. The Lumi-Link Command Center in the kit is a dedicated dash-mount panel with all controls. The EOS i-Connect Hub bridges to a compatible MFD on the marine network so you can control the lights from the chartplotter at the helm. The Lumi-Link iPhone app gives wireless control over Wi-Fi for guests or for adjustments away from the helm. Use one, two, or all three depending on how you want to operate.
Which chartplotters are compatible?
The current Lumishore-partner MFDs cover the major marine network platforms. Compatibility depends on the chartplotter model and firmware version. Send us your chartplotter model and we'll confirm Lumi-Link integration before you order. If your MFD isn't on the compatible list, the Command Center in the kit handles all functions independently of the chartplotter network.
What boat hull material works for this install?
Fiberglass, aluminum, and steel hulls all accept thru-hull underwater lights. Cored fiberglass hulls need the cut hole sealed properly to keep water out of the core. Aluminum and steel hulls need an isolation gasket between the fixture and the hull to prevent galvanic corrosion of the dissimilar metals. The fixture itself is the same. The install procedure varies.
What's the power draw on a 12V system?
Per fixture at full white output, the TIX403 pulls meaningful current. Two lights together on a 12V system want a properly sized circuit with adequate cable run from the house bank. On 24V the current drops proportionally. Get the exact spec from the Lumishore installation manual or ask us before you size the cable.
Is it really sound-to-music capable?
Yes. The Command Center accepts an audio signal and pulses the lights to the music in real time. Most owners run a 3.5mm audio tap from the stereo system into the Command Center for this. It's a real feature, not a marketing claim, and it looks good for evening entertaining at anchor.
What's the warranty?
Lumishore's standard limited warranty applies to the EOS Series fixtures. Coverage details are in the documentation. The internal-driver design on the TIX line specifically improves long-term reliability over external-driver fixtures because the driver is sealed inside the housing rather than exposed to engine room heat and humidity.
