GOST NT-Evolution Hard-Wired Marine Security and Tracking Package — Product description

GOST's hard-wired marine security, monitoring, and satellite tracking package built for boats that live at the dock or on a mooring. Real-time GPS location, satellite messaging via the IDP 100x backbone, a hard-wired sensor kit (door/hatch contact, IR beam, high water, 110 AC shore power monitor), a 125 dB siren, an LED strobe, and a water-resistant keyfob for arming and disarming on the deck.

The NT-Evolution package is GOST's hard-wired flagship marine security and tracking solution, sized for owners who want the system installed permanently in the boat rather than running over a 4G or Wi-Fi link that can drop out. The IDP 100x satellite backbone keeps the system online globally as long as the boat has a view of the sky, which is what separates a true marine security system from a residential alarm panel adapted to a yacht. If somebody steals your boat or it breaks free on a mooring in a storm, you get a real-time GPS position and an alert on your phone within seconds, anywhere on Earth.

The package is designed as a complete kit. The 110 AC Power Out module (GNT IP68 110AC POWEROUT HW) is the IP68 waterproof shore-power monitor that watches whether dock power is connected and active. Lose shore power and the system knows, which is the early warning for a refrigerator failure or a frozen condenser before the food spoils or the AC trips on the inverter. The GDC EXT WGHD door and hatch contact is the water-resistant magnetic contact for securing companionway hatches, cabin doors, and engine room access points. The GNT IBS 1 beam sensor is the IR emitter-and-receiver pair that protects the perimeter of the boat: if anyone walks through the beam between the emitter and the receiver, the siren triggers. The GMM HWS high water sensor is the bilge float switch that mounts slightly below the factory-installed bilge high-water alarm, giving you a second warning level before the bilge actually fills.

Output devices are sized for a marine install. The GA STROBE WHITE strobe is the visual alarm: ultra-small, surface or internal mount, semi-hemispheric white LED with 25 flash patterns plus a synchronize feature for running multiple strobes in alternating or matched flash. Put one at the helm, one at the stern, and one in the engine room and you've got visual confirmation of an intrusion from anywhere on the boat. The GA-MINI-SIREN is the audible alarm: 125 dB at 20 watts, multi-tone, water-resistant. That's loud enough to be heard from the next slip over and persistent enough to draw attention rather than just annoy a thief into cutting the wires faster.

The user interface is the GMM KF2 keyfob: water-resistant, compact, backlit buttons with auditory feedback for arming and disarming. The fob handles up to six actions per remote with a range of about 150 feet, which is enough to cover the dock-to-boat walk plus the parking lot at a marina. Arming and disarming the boat without pulling out a phone is the workflow most owners want, especially when you're stepping off the boat with hands full of gear. The hard-wired zones (Hatch Z2 Normally Closed, Beam Z3 NC, 110 AC Z4 NC, High Water Z5 Normally Open) map cleanly to the GOST panel logic, and the ComBUS four-wire connection is what links the sensors to the panel through clean low-voltage runs rather than individual home runs to each device.

One thing to know about this system. Installation is meant to be done by a marine electronics installer rather than as a DIY weekend project. The wired runs through the boat, the antenna placement for the IDP 100x satellite link, the strobe and siren mounting locations, and the panel power feed all need to be done right to avoid false alarms and missed alerts. GOST sells the package and supports it, but the install is a contractor job. We can recommend an installer in your area, and we'd suggest scheduling the install when the boat is hauled or at minimum when you have a long weekend to dedicate to it. Note from the manufacturer: this product cannot be returned to the original point of purchase, and warranty service goes through GOST directly. We'll help you coordinate the install scheduling and answer compatibility questions on the front end before you commit to the kit.

Why Buy from NVN Marine

  • Authorized GOST reseller, full manufacturer warranty
  • NMEA member and ABYC certified, advice from real boat techs
  • Same-day shipping before 3 PM ET on in-stock items
  • NY headquarters and Fort Lauderdale flagship retail store

This is an installer-grade marine security system, not a DIY weekend project. We can recommend an installer in your area and walk you through the boat layout, antenna placement, and sensor zones before you commit. Tell us the boat size, the marina or mooring layout, and what you're trying to protect against, and we'll confirm the NT-Evolution is the right package or steer you to a different GOST kit if it isn't.

Frequently asked questions

Does it actually work via satellite or is it just a cell-based system?

Satellite. The IDP 100x backbone keeps the system online globally without cellular coverage. That matters on boats moored in remote anchorages or stolen and driven out of cell range. Cell-based systems disconnect the moment the boat leaves coverage. The satellite link keeps reporting the boat's position to you regardless.

Do I need an active subscription?

Yes. The satellite communications require an active GOST monitoring subscription for the IDP 100x service. Pricing varies by message frequency and feature level. We can walk you through the subscription tiers before you commit to the hardware kit so you have a full picture of ongoing cost.

What boat size is this kit sized for?

Mid-to-large cruising and sport-fishing boats roughly 35 to 75 feet, where the sensor count (one hatch, one beam, shore power, high water) covers the major access points and the bilge. Larger yachts usually want additional zones (motion sensors, multiple cabin doors, fuel monitoring) and a larger GOST panel. Smaller boats with simpler layouts can sometimes be served by a simpler GOST kit.

What's in the box?

The 110 AC Power Out shore-power monitor, the GDC EXT WGHD door/hatch contact, the GNT IBS 1 IR beam sensor pair, the GMM HWS high-water bilge float switch, the GMM KF2 keyfob, the GA STROBE WHITE LED strobe, and the GA-MINI-SIREN. Plus the GOST panel, antenna, and the wiring kit. Mounting hardware and zone-specific cables are included.

Can it call my phone?

Yes. The GOST monitoring system supports SMS alerts, email alerts, and app push notifications when any zone trips. Alert routing is configurable through your GOST account. Most owners set up SMS plus app notification for fastest response.

What happens if someone cuts the antenna?

GOST monitors the antenna line and triggers an alert if the signal drops, so a tamper attempt becomes an alarm condition itself. The antenna should be mounted in a location where it's not obviously exposed, which is part of why install location matters.

How long is the keyfob range?

Up to 150 feet in clear line of sight. Marina docks and metal structures can reduce that. Most owners report reliable operation from the dock to the boat and from the parking lot to the dock, which is the usable workflow.

Will it false-alarm on rough weather?

The system is built to tolerate marine conditions, but the IR beam sensor specifically can sometimes trigger on debris or wildlife crossing the perimeter. Sensitivity is adjustable. Most installers will tune the system after a few weeks of normal use to filter out the typical false-alarm sources for your specific dock layout.

Can I add more sensors later?

Yes. The GOST panel supports additional zones for cabin door contacts, motion sensors, glass-break detectors, and additional bilge sensors. Adding sensors is a wired-install job through the ComBUS backbone, which is one reason a professional install pays off over time.

Is this returnable?

Per the manufacturer, this product cannot be returned to the original point of purchase. Warranty and any defect issues go directly through GOST. We'll help you coordinate warranty service if you need it. We'd also strongly suggest sizing the kit correctly the first time, which is why we encourage the install conversation up front.
