Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv LiveScope Plus Bundle, Worldwide Basemap — Product description

Garmin's ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv 12.1-inch chartplotter bundled with the LiveScope Plus kit (GLS 10 black box, LVS34 transducer, perspective mount, trolling motor barrel mount). No GT56UHD-TM transom transducer in this variant, and the chartplotter ships with worldwide basemap rather than the US Inland Navionics+ chart pack. The right SKU for boats that don't need the GT56UHD-TM and already have or plan to source a separate Garmin transducer.

This variant of the LiveScope Plus bundle is built for owners who specifically don't want the GT56UHD-TM transom transducer in the box. The standard 1003715 bundle (010-02881-01LSP) includes the GT56UHD-TM all-in-one transducer for transom-mount CHIRP/ClearVu/SideVu sonar. This SKU drops that transducer, which makes sense in two situations. First, you already have a Garmin transducer on the boat (transom-mount or thru-hull) and don't need a second one. Second, you're planning a thru-hull or in-hull transducer install and don't want to pay for the transom-mount unit that you wouldn't use. The chartplotter itself still has the built-in sonar electronics, ready to drive whatever transducer you connect to it.

The chartplotter half is the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv. The 12.1-inch WXGA IPS touchscreen at 1280 by 800 resolution is what makes the upgrade from older ECHOMAP UHD 12-inch units worth it. The new panel is brighter, holds color better off-axis, and the modernized operating system is noticeably more responsive when you're swiping through sonar history at high speed. Garmin kept the keyed-assist layout with four programmable shortcut keys, which is the right call for a touchscreen at the bow where wet fingers and rough water make pure touch operation frustrating. The 10 Hz multi-band GPS pulls from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations, with WAAS giving you sub-meter accuracy where the augmentation signal is available. This variant ships with worldwide basemap charts covering coastal contours and major waterways globally. Premium chart upgrades (Garmin Navionics+, LakeVu g3 Ultra, BlueChart g3 Vision) are purchased separately based on the region you fish.

The LiveScope Plus package is the headline. The GLS 10 black box is the sonar processor, the LVS34 transducer is the live-sonar element itself, the perspective mount lets you rotate the transducer to switch between forward, down, and perspective views without unbolting anything, and the barrel mount fits the trolling motor shaft. Cables and connectors are all included. LiveScope Plus is the second-generation live sonar with improved range, sharper detail, and better target tracking at the edges of the cone. In practical terms, you can see individual fish moving 50 to 100 feet out in front of the boat in real time, watch your lure descend through the water column, and see fish react to it before they ever touch the bait. For anyone who fishes structure, brush piles, or grass edges, that's the difference between guessing and knowing.

The chartplotter's built-in sonar electronics still drive whatever conventional transducer you connect. The 122sv chartplotter accepts CHIRP, Ultra HD ClearVu, and Ultra HD SideVu transducers natively through the sonar port on the back. Common options are the Garmin GT54UHD-TM transom-mount, the GT56UHD-TM transom-mount (which is what the standard bundle ships with), or a thru-hull Garmin Airmar pairing for offshore boats. For inshore bass and walleye work where the LiveScope LVS34 is doing most of the heavy lifting, the chartplotter often doesn't need a second transducer at all. You can run LiveScope through the GLS 10 network connection without anything plugged into the conventional sonar port.

Networking and connectivity match the standard bundle. Built-in Wi-Fi sharing connects this chartplotter wirelessly to other compatible ECHOMAP Ultra 2 or UHD2 units to share sonar history, waypoints, and routes between the bow and the console. Force trolling motor integration is wireless and complete, with anchor, jog, and follow-contour features from the chartplotter screen. ActiveCaptain on a phone covers software updates, Quickdraw map sync, smart notifications, and screen recording for sharing LiveScope clips. The bundle ships with the chartplotter, mounting hardware, power cable, NMEA 2000 drop cable, and the full LiveScope Plus kit. The transducer for the chartplotter's built-in sonar is the one piece you add separately based on how you fish.

Why Buy from NVN Marine

  • Authorized Garmin reseller, full manufacturer warranty
  • NMEA member and ABYC certified, advice from real boat techs
  • Same-day shipping before 3 PM ET on in-stock items
  • NY headquarters and Fort Lauderdale flagship retail store

LiveScope bundles assemble fast on paper and slow on the boat. Tell us your trolling motor make and shaft diameter, your transom thickness, and what 12V power you've already got run to the bow, and we'll confirm the install plan before we ship. We've installed dozens of these and the gotchas are usually mounting clearance and 12V supply, not the electronics themselves.

Frequently asked questions

What's actually in the bundle?

The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 122sv chartplotter, the LiveScope Plus kit (GLS 10 black box, LVS34 transducer, perspective mount, trolling motor barrel mount, all cables), power cable, NMEA 2000 drop cable, mounting hardware, and the installation manuals. No GT56UHD-TM transducer. No premium chart card. The chartplotter ships with worldwide basemap pre-loaded.

What boat is this bundle right for?

Bass boats, walleye boats, inshore center consoles, and any other boat with a bow-mount trolling motor where LiveScope adds real value. Saltwater inshore anglers chasing redfish, snook, and tarpon use this same kit. Offshore deep-water boats are usually better served by the Panoptix PS70 thru-hull setup with a fixed-console chartplotter instead.

What's the difference between LiveScope and LiveScope Plus?

Plus is the second-generation system. Same general concept (live forward-looking sonar) but with sharper image detail, better target tracking at the cone edges, and improved range. If you're buying new today, Plus is what you want. The original LiveScope is still supported but the Plus picture is noticeably better.

Do I need to buy a transducer separately?

For the built-in CHIRP/ClearVu/SideVu sonar electronics on the chartplotter, yes. The LiveScope LVS34 is included in the bundle and connects through the GLS 10 black box on the network, but the chartplotter's conventional sonar port is empty in this SKU. You'd add a Garmin GT54UHD-TM or GT56UHD-TM transom-mount transducer (or a thru-hull pairing for offshore boats) if you want to run conventional CHIRP/ClearVu/SideVu alongside LiveScope. For pure LiveScope-focused install, the chartplotter works without an additional transducer connected to the sonar port.

Does it support Force trolling motors?

Yes, wirelessly. From the chartplotter you can steer the Force, anchor virtually on a spot, jog the bow, and follow a contour line without touching the foot pedal. The integration is part of why this bundle pairs so well with a Force install.

Will it talk to my other Garmin chartplotter at the console?

Yes. Wireless network sharing connects this unit to other ECHOMAP Ultra 2 or UHD2 chartplotters and shares sonar history, waypoints, and routes between them. The console and the bow display the same fish marks.

What charts are included?

Worldwide basemap covering coastal contours and major waterways globally. The basemap is enough for general navigation but not enough for fine-detail bathymetry on inland lakes or reefs. Premium chart upgrades (Garmin Navionics+, LakeVu g3 Ultra, BlueChart g3 Vision, Navionics Vision+) are purchased separately based on the region you fish.

Can I record what I see on LiveScope?

Yes. Built-in screen recording captures sonar and chartplotter footage to a microSD card. Pair with ActiveCaptain on your phone to share clips. It's a real tool for analyzing a tough fishing day after the fact or for sharing on social.

What about installation complexity?

Moderate. The chartplotter is straightforward (12V power, NMEA 2000, mount). The GT56UHD-TM transom transducer is a standard transom drill-and-mount install. The LiveScope barrel mount on the trolling motor is the part that takes the most patience because of cable routing through the trolling motor cavity. Plan on 4 to 6 hours of work for a boat where 12V is already run to the bow.

Is the touchscreen the only way to operate it?

No. Four programmable shortcut keys give you quick screen switching and primary functions without touching the screen. Most anglers use the keys to swap between sonar pages and the touchscreen for waypoint management, which is the right division of labor at the bow with wet hands.

What's the warranty?

Standard Garmin marine electronics warranty. 1-year limited on most components, longer coverage on the transducer crystals. Coverage details are on the warranty card. Garmin's customer support has been good on warranty work for LiveScope kits we've seen come back.
