Teknor Apex NeverKink RV/Boat Water Hose 1/2 in x 50 ft — Product description

The Teknor Apex NeverKink runs fresh water from the city hookup to your RV or boat without a kinked line halfway through the fill. It's a 50-foot, 1/2-inch drinking-water hose built with FDA-sanctioned, lead-free material, so what comes out the other end is safe to fill your tank.

The NeverKink is the hose you reach for when you pull into a site and need to get fresh water to the boat or the rig without a wrestling match. Teknor Apex built it to resist the kinking that turns a two-minute hookup into a ten-minute one, and at 50 feet you've got enough reach to get from a shared spigot to the far side of the slip.

It's a 1/2-inch inside diameter line with standard threaded fittings on both ends, so it connects straight to a community water supplier, a dock hookup, or a campground spigot. No adapters, no odd fittings. The material is FDA-sanctioned and lead-free, which is the part that matters most on a drinking-water hose. You're filling a fresh-water tank you'll cook and brush your teeth with, so what the water touches on the way in counts.

Where does a 1/2-inch line make sense? It's the lighter, easier-to-coil option. Flow is a touch lower than a wider hose, but for topping off a tank or a slow steady fill it's plenty, and you'll appreciate the smaller coil when it's time to stow it in a dock box or a wet bay. If you're running long fills on a big rig every day, a larger diameter moves more water, but for most boaters and weekend RVers this size is the sweet spot.

One thing to be clear about: this isn't a heated hose. It won't protect your line from freezing in cold weather, so if you're camping below freezing you'll want to drain it or run a heated line instead. And keep it a dedicated fresh-water hose. Don't cross it over to washdown or waste duty. The whole point of a lead-free drinking-water hose is knowing it only ever carries water you'd drink. Give it a quick drain and a loose coil after each trip, and it'll be ready the next time you roll up to a hookup.

Frequently asked questions

Is this hose safe for drinking water?

Yes. It's made from FDA-sanctioned, lead-free material and is meant to connect an RV or boat to a community water supplier and fill fresh-water tanks. It's a potable-water hose, not a garden or washdown line.

What size is it?

It's 50 feet long with a 1/2-inch inside diameter and standard threaded fittings on both ends.

Will it connect to a standard spigot or dock hookup?

Yes. The threaded fittings thread straight onto a community water supplier, a dock hookup, or a campground spigot with no adapters needed.

Is this a heated hose?

No. This isn't a heated hose, so it won't keep water from freezing in cold weather. If you're camping below freezing, drain it after each use or run a heated line instead.

Why choose a 1/2-inch hose over a wider one?

A 1/2-inch line is lighter and easier to coil and store. Flow is a bit lower than a wider hose, but for topping off a tank or a steady fill it's plenty for most boaters and weekend RVers.

Can I use it for washdown or other jobs?

You can, but we'd keep it dedicated to fresh water. The value of a lead-free drinking-water hose is knowing it only ever carries water you'd drink.
