Taylor Made builds this right chaise for one job: giving somebody a comfortable place to stretch out on a pontoon, and having it survive years of sun, spray, and rowdy weekends. It's a lounge seat, not a bench, so it's shaped for one person to lie back with their legs up. The right chaise version is built to sit on the starboard side of the deck, which matters when you're laying out a furniture plan. Pair it with a matching left chaise and you get symmetric lounging across the stern. Run it solo and you'll want it on the right so the backrest lands where you expect.

The bones of this seat are rotationally-molded marine grade polyethylene. That's the same one-piece plastic used for kayak hulls and cooler bodies, and it's why this frame shrugs off water instead of soaking it up the way a wood-cored seat will. No rot. No rust in the structure. The vinyl is marine grade and stretched over mildew-resistant polyurethane foam, stapled down with stainless steel staples and sewn with polyester UV-resistant thread. Mounting is straightforward if you take your time. The molded frame takes four quarter-inch bolts down through the deck. Pre-drill your holes and don't overtorque them, because you can stress-crack the polyethylene around a fastener if you really crank on it, especially over an aluminum crossmember. Back everything with fender washers under the deck and you'll have a seat that doesn't budge in a chop. Stainless fasteners are specified for the seat's own assembly, but confirm your deck-mount hardware is stainless too so nothing streaks rust down a beige cushion.

Speaking of beige, it's a clean, bright look that fits most pontoon color schemes. It does show dirt and mildew sooner than you'd like if you leave it uncovered all season. So a simple seat cover or a full mooring cover pays for itself here. Give the vinyl an occasional wipe with mild soap and water, keep it out of standing sun when the boat's parked, and the fabric and seams last a lot longer.
