StrikeMaster Lithium 24V Ice Auger Battery LTV-B — Product description

The StrikeMaster Lithium 24V Battery (LTV-B) is the factory pack for StrikeMaster's 24-volt lithium ice augers. It's a light 4 amp-hour lithium ion battery with an internal management system and an LED charge gauge, so you can drill all morning and always know how much you've got left.

This is the factory lithium battery for StrikeMaster's 24-volt lithium augers, the LTV-B. If your original pack is getting tired, or you just want a fresh one in the sled so you never cut a trip short, this is the exact battery that powers the powerhead. It's the same one StrikeMaster ships on the auger, so fit and run time are exactly what you'd expect.

It's a 24-volt, 4 amp-hour lithium ion pack. Light, compact, and built to slide right onto the StrikeMaster 24v powerhead using the channels on both sides. You press it down until it clicks, and you're drilling. No adapters, no wiring, no guesswork.

Inside there's an internal battery management system, and that's the part that matters most out on the ice. The BMS watches cell balance, temperature, and voltage, and it protects the pack from over-discharge and overcharge. That's what keeps a lithium battery healthy season after season instead of fading out after a winter or two. On the outside you get an LED battery status indicator, so you can check your charge at a glance before you head out and know roughly how much drilling you've got left when you're standing over a fresh hole.

Here's who really wants one: the angler who runs and guns. If you're covering water, punching twenty, thirty, forty holes across a morning looking for active fish, one battery can get tight on a cold day. A second fully charged pack in your bibs pocket or the flip-over means you finish the day without babysitting the gauge. Swapping takes seconds. Pop the dead one, click the fresh one on, keep fishing.

Compared to the old heavy batteries that used to hang off a gas or early electric auger, a lithium pack this size is a real gift for your back. You feel it every time you pick the auger up and move to the next spot. Less weight in the sled, less weight in your hands, more holes before you're tired.

Charge it with the StrikeMaster 24v lithium charger. Lithium packs want a charger matched to their chemistry and voltage, and the factory charger talks to the BMS the way it's supposed to. Give it a full charge the night before a trip and you're set. If you run two batteries, get in the habit of rotating them so both packs stay exercised and cycle evenly across the season.

When the ice goes out for the year, don't just toss the pack in a corner of the garage until next December. Lithium stores best at a partial charge, somewhere in the middle, in a spot that doesn't swing to extreme heat or hard freezing. Give it a top-off charge every couple of months in the off-season and it'll be ready the day first ice shows up.

A word on cold, because this is ice fishing and cold is the whole point. Lithium chemistry loses some usable capacity when it gets brutally cold, well below zero. It's not damage, it's just physics, and the pack comes right back as it warms. On the really nasty days a lot of guys keep the spare battery inside a jacket or a heated flip-over until they need it, then swap it in warm. Little trick, big difference in run time.

One thing to be clear about: this pack is built for the StrikeMaster 24v auger. It's not a general-purpose 24-volt battery for trolling motors or other gear, and we don't recommend adapting it to anything else. The mount, the BMS behavior, and the discharge profile are all tuned for the auger. Use it for what it's made for and it'll serve you well.

It's backed by a 2-year warranty, and we're an authorized StrikeMaster dealer, so if anything goes sideways the claim runs through us. Grab a spare, keep it charged, and spend your morning drilling holes instead of hunting for the last bar on the gauge.

Frequently asked questions

Which auger does this battery fit?

It's the factory pack for StrikeMaster's 24-volt lithium augers. It slides onto the 24v powerhead using the channels on both sides and clicks into place. It's a direct fit for the same tool it ships on.

Is this a replacement battery or a spare?

Both. Buy it to replace an original pack that's worn down, or keep it as a fully charged spare so you can swap on the ice and drill all day without stopping to recharge.

What are the battery specs?

It's a 24-volt, 4 amp-hour lithium ion pack with an internal battery management system and an LED charge indicator. It carries a 2-year warranty.

How do I charge it?

Use the StrikeMaster 24v lithium charger. A charger matched to the pack's chemistry and voltage lets the internal BMS manage the charge correctly. Charge it fully the night before you head out.

How do I know how much charge is left?

There's an LED battery status indicator right on the pack. Check it before you leave the truck and again over a hole to judge how much drilling you have left.

What does the battery management system do?

The internal BMS monitors cell balance, temperature, and voltage, and it protects the pack from over-discharge and overcharge. That's what keeps a lithium battery healthy across multiple seasons.

Does the cold hurt run time?

Lithium loses some usable capacity in extreme cold, well below zero. It isn't damage, and the capacity returns as the pack warms. On brutal days, keep the spare inside your jacket or a heated flip-over and swap it in warm.

Can I use it on a trolling motor or other 24-volt gear?

No. This pack is built specifically for the StrikeMaster 24v auger. The mount, discharge profile, and BMS behavior are tuned for that tool, so we don't recommend adapting it to anything else.

How does it mount to the auger?

Line the battery up with the channels on both sides of the powerhead and press down until you hear it click into place. No tools and no wiring are needed.

What's the warranty?

It comes with a 2-year warranty. We're an authorized StrikeMaster dealer, so any warranty claim runs through us back to StrikeMaster.
