Blue painter's tape you can actually trust on a boat project. Shurtape's CP 027 is a premium-grade crepe paper tape, 0.94 inches wide and 60 yards long, with a natural rubber adhesive that grips clean and pulls off clean. It's built for interior and exterior work, so it holds up on painted walls, glass, vinyl, metal, and wood. That makes it handy for a lot more than drywall. Taping off gelcoat before a touch-up, masking a waterline for bottom paint, protecting trim and hardware while you spray, this tape handles it.
The fine structured crepe backing conforms around curves and corners without tearing, and it's UV-resistant, so a little sun exposure while the job sits won't bake it onto the surface. When you're done, it lifts away without leaving gummy residue behind. That's the part that matters. Nobody wants to spend an afternoon scraping adhesive off fresh paint.
One roll per order. Keep a couple in the shop drawer and you'll reach for them constantly.
