The Shadow-Caster SCM-DLX is a color-change RGBW flush mount light built for the parts of a boat where you want light and a little mood without a big fixture eating up space. Shadow-Caster puts the bracket and the screws in the box, so you're not hunting for hardware at the dock. The color-change function runs off a separate control wire, so plan a proper multi-conductor run back to your controller or switch. Don't try to piggyback color control on thin factory courtesy wiring. Give it its own clean run and the colors stay true.

RGBW is the whole reason to reach for this over a plain white puck. White for real tasks, blue for a calm night at anchor, red to protect your night vision at the helm, green or a custom mix when you just want the boat to look good at the dock. Because there's a dedicated white diode in the mix, white actually reads as white instead of the bluish approximation you get from blending colored diodes. Pair it with a controller built for RGBW output and you get smooth dimming and clean color transitions. Generic single-color PWM dimmers can cause color shift, so match the light to a controller designed for RGBW.

The chrome bezel and black housing combination is the one to reach for on a saltwater boat. Bright chrome trim looks sharp topside, and the black housing sits quietly against a dark liner or an underside you'd rather not notice. Keep the bezel rinsed after a salty day and it'll hold its shine. The 120-degree beam angle spreads a wide, even wash rather than a tight spot, which is exactly what you want from accent and courtesy lighting. Bottom line: if you want tidy, low-draw accent and courtesy lighting that can shift color on demand, the SCM-DLX is a clean, sealed, dual-voltage way to get there.
