The Shadow Caster SC3 is a small light that punches well above its size. It's a 3-inch round underwater LED built specifically for pontoon and aluminum-hull boats, and it throws a clean Bimini Blue glow off the back of your tubes the moment the sun drops. On the wiring side, plan for a dedicated circuit. Each SC3 pulls somewhere in the neighborhood of two amps at 12 volts, so a pair or a set of four adds up quicker than you'd think. Put them on their own fused switch rather than tapping into your livewell or stereo circuit, and you'll steer clear of nuisance breaker trips. There's no built-in driver, so an inline fuse and a clean switch aren't optional, they're just part of doing the job right. If you want to dim them down for a mellow evening on the water, they'll play nicely with most 12-volt PWM dimmers. Very cheap controllers can make them flicker at low output, so spend a few dollars on a decent one.

One honest note on color. Bimini Blue looks incredible in clear lake or coastal water, that classic tropical glow everybody's chasing. In stained, tannic, or muddy river water, blue gets absorbed fast and reads dimmer than you'd expect. If your home water runs dark, set your expectations accordingly before you buy a full set. For the many pontoon owners cruising clear inland lakes, though, this is exactly the look you're picturing in your head right now.
