The Seaview APXMINIQRB is the quick-release receiving base for the Starlink Mini. It's the part that stays bolted to your boat. Let's be clear about what this is, because the name matters. This is the receiving base only. The Starlink Mini dish isn't included, and neither is the quick-release top adapter that actually carries the antenna. You fasten this base down, add the matching Seaview quick-release top and Mini mount, and then you've got a tool-free setup you can break down whenever you want. The upside of buying the base by itself is real. Run one antenna and drop a base on the boat, another on the truck, another at the house. One pull moves the dish between them.

The base is machined from anodized 6061 aluminum with stainless steel hardware. That's the right combo for life on the water. 6061 takes a beating and the hardcoat anodizing gives it a fighting chance against salt. One honest note from the field: aluminum against a dissimilar metal in salt air will still weep a little white corrosion over a season if you bolt it down bare. Bed it properly, use an isolation barrier or a dab of sealant at the fasteners, and it'll stay clean for years.

It mounts two ways. On a flat surface like a hardtop, radar arch, or cabin roof, it sits flush and bolts straight down. The base is pre-drilled and tapped so the surface mount adapter lands square on top. On solid glass or aluminum you can fasten right through. On a cored deck, do it right: oversize the holes, fill and re-drill, or drop in a backing plate so you're not crushing the core when you torque the knob down. Standard marine mounting practice, nothing exotic, but worth saying out loud.

At 5.99 inches, it keeps the Starlink Mini up and clear without turning into a sail. That height is usually enough to get the dish a clean view of the sky above rails and low hardware, while staying under most radar beams. On a boat with a low arch or a packed hardtop, sight it out first so the base doesn't block a radar scanner or a nav light.
