Sea-Dog's 8 AWG primary wire gives you a full 100 foot spool of red, stranded, tinned copper built to UL and ABYC standards. It's the wire you want for medium-current positive feeds like windlass, inverter, and house-bank runs. Tinned so it holds voltage in a damp bilge for the long haul.

This is Sea-Dog's 8 AWG tinned copper primary wire, red, on a 100 foot spool. Single conductor, stranded, and built to the UL and ABYC standards that matter when the wire is living in a damp bilge for the next fifteen years. If you've ever pulled apart an old boat's wiring and found green, crumbling copper, you already know why tinned wire is worth the extra few dollars a foot.

The tinning is the whole point. Every strand gets a coating that keeps salt air and moisture from creeping in and corroding the copper. Bare automotive wire wicks moisture up under the insulation and turns to powder from the inside out. This doesn't. That's the difference between a connection that still reads full voltage after five seasons and one that slowly starves your gear.
