Here's the idea behind the HEXX system. Instead of a different bracket for every piece of gear, you set one strong base and swap accessories on top of it. This track mount is that base. It locks down the HEXX Live Pole 60 and Live Pole 30 for forward-facing sonar, the HEXX Fish Finder Mount for your graph, the HEXX Rotating Platform, and the HEXX Rod Holder. Rig it once, then run whatever the day calls for. Chasing bass on a calm morning? Drop the rod holder on. Scanning brush piles with live sonar in the afternoon? Swap to the pole. Same base, no tools beyond a screwdriver.

And that's the part kayak anglers care about most. No drilling. The mount uses stainless steel track nuts that feed into your existing gear track, then you snug it down with a screwdriver. Ten minutes, maybe less. If you decide to move it forward or aft next season, you just loosen it and slide it. Try doing that with a through-bolted bracket.

The base itself is molded from UV resistant fiberglass reinforced polymer. That's a mouthful, but what it means on the water is simple. It shrugs off sun without going brittle, and it's stiff enough to hold a large fish finder or a live sonar pole steady when you're pushing through chop. All the fasteners and track nuts are stainless steel, which is exactly what you want on a boat that spends its life wet. Fresh water, brackish, or salt, the hardware holds up.

A word on saltwater, since we get asked. Stainless is corrosion resistant, not corrosion proof. If you fish the salt, give the whole boat a fresh-water rinse when you get home and put a light coat of marine grease on the threads once in a while. Do that and this mount will outlast the kayak. Skip it for a couple of seasons in the salt and any stainless hardware can start to seize. That's true of every fitting on your boat, not just this one.

The mount fits the 3.3 inch width you'll find on standard factory-fitted kayak accessory tracks. Before you order, it's worth a quick look at your own track spacing to be sure the HEXX base lines up. Weight is a non-issue. The whole thing is 0.26 pounds. You'll never notice it in the water, but you'll absolutely notice how much steadier your electronics sit once it's carrying them. That matters when you're reading a screen in a two-foot chop and trying to tell a fish from a stump.
