If you run a boat in the 30 to 40 foot range, you already know a couple of undersized fenders won't cut it at the dock. The Polyform U.S. HTM-3 is built for exactly this size boat. On boats with lower freeboard it can ride a little high, so think about where your contact point actually sits before you commit to a spot. For beam-on docking on a bigger boat, plan on a few of these spaced along the hull rather than counting on one to do all the work.

One more practical note. This is sold as a single fender, so if you're setting up a boat for a slip, count how many rub points you actually have and order accordingly. Most owners in this size range run three or four per side, plus one or two ready to grab and drop for a surprise raft-up.
