Pacer Orange 10 AWG Marine Primary Wire - 25 ft — Product description

Pacer's 10 AWG orange primary wire is tinned marine cable built for boat wiring that has to survive salt, heat, and vibration. This 25-foot roll gives you Type III finely stranded tinned copper under a flexible PVC jacket, rated to 600 volts and built to UL, ABYC, and USCG standards.

If you're rigging or repairing a boat's DC system, ordinary automotive wire won't cut it. Salt air corrodes bare copper fast, and a stiff jacket cracks with vibration. This Pacer 10 AWG primary wire is built for exactly that job, with Type III finely stranded tinned copper that stays flexible and shrugs off corrosion year after year.

The orange color code helps you keep circuits straight at the helm and in the bilge, and 10 AWG handles the current draw of pumps, lights, and accessory runs on most boats. The PVC jacket resists acid, alkali, abrasion, gas, oil, flame, and moisture, so it holds up in engine bays and lockers where things get harsh. It's rated from -20 to 105 degrees C at 600 volts.

You get 25 feet on this roll, enough for a handful of accessory runs or one longer pull. And because it meets UL 1426, ABYC E-11.14, and USCG 33 CFR part 183, you're wiring to code, not guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Is this true marine-grade wire or just automotive primary wire?

It's real marine wire. The copper is tinned to resist corrosion, the strands are Type III finely stranded for flexibility, and it meets UL 1426, ABYC E-11.14, and USCG standards. Automotive wire uses bare copper that corrodes quickly in salt air.

What can I power with 10 AWG wire?

10 AWG is a common size for accessory and pump circuits, cabin lighting runs, and moderate current loads. Always size your wire to the amperage and the length of the run using an ABYC ampacity chart.

How much wire comes on this roll?

You get 25 feet, sold as an individual length. Order the gauge and color you need for each circuit.

Why does the wire color matter?

Color coding keeps your DC circuits organized so the next person to open the panel can trace a run without guessing. Orange is a common accessory or secondary circuit color in a boat's wiring scheme.
