Meguiar's M30032 One Step Compound | 32 oz Swirl Remover

Meguiar's M30032 is a one-step compound that does three jobs in a single pass. It cuts out swirl marks, cleans off oxidation and grime, and leaves a polished finish behind. And it handles scratches down to 3000 grit, so the fine marks left by wet sanding or years of wash mitts come right out.

Here's why that matters. Most correction jobs want a heavy compound first, then a separate polish to bring the gloss back. That's two products, two passes, twice the time. This one bottle covers both steps, which is exactly what you want when you're detailing a hull, an RV cap, or a car in an afternoon and don't feel like babysitting a three-stage process.

It works on painted surfaces and gelcoat alike. Boaters reach for it on faded fiberglass topsides and around the transom where the sun does its worst. RV owners run it across the front cap and the sidewalls. And on a car, it's the fix for the fine swirls that show up under direct sun on a dark hood. Apply it, work it in, wipe it off, and the surface reads clear again.

A couple of honest notes. This is a correction product, not a protectant. Once you've knocked out the swirls and the finish looks right, follow it with a wax or sealant to lock in that gloss and give the surface something to shed water and UV. And if you're dealing with deep gouges you can catch a fingernail in, no compound erases those. It levels the surface around a scratch, which is what makes swirls and 3000-grit marks disappear, but it can't fill a cut that's through the clear.
