The Maretron CG1-30 gives you 30 meters of continuous Micro bulk cable for building an NMEA 2000 network to fit your boat. The Maretron CG1-30 is a 30 meter run of Micro bulk cable, the kind you reach for when you're building an NMEA 2000 network to fit your boat instead of forcing your boat to fit a box of pre-made cables. It's continuous gray PVC, rated at 6 amperes, and it carries the approvals that matter out there: NMEA 2000 approved, UL Listed, CSA Certified, and IEC-61162-3. You cut it to the exact length you need, add field-attachable Micro connectors, and you've got a backbone or a drop that runs where you want it to.

Here's the honest part. This is bulk cable, so the connectors don't come in the box. You buy the field-attachable Micro connectors separately and terminate the ends yourself. That's the whole point of buying it this way. On a real install, pre-made cables leave you with coils of slack tucked behind the helm or a run that's three feet too short. A pin that didn't seat fully, an over-tightened gland, or a fitting that went together dry. Seat every pin, snug the gland firmly without cranking on it, and put a dab of dielectric grease on the contacts before you close it up. The grease keeps corrosion out of the connection at deck glands and anywhere salt air can reach. Do it once, do it right, and the connection stays quiet for years.
