The strip runs 60 LEDs per meter, so the light lays down smooth instead of dotty. And because it's full RGB, you can dial in whatever color fits the moment. Cool white when you're cleaning up at the dock, a low red to save your night vision at the helm, a deep blue for a mellow evening on the hook. Set it once for the mood you like, or change it as the night goes on. Here's what makes it friendly to install. The SL100 is cut-to-length, seal-ends, plug-and-play. You trim it at the marked cut points to match the exact run you've got, cap and seal the cut end against water, and wire it in. We've rigged these into gunwale channels and under helm dashes, and the flexible strip takes a gentle curve without fighting you. One honest tip from experience: the factory adhesive backing holds fine on clean, dry fiberglass, but if you're sticking it to a curved or damp surface, back it up with a bead of marine sealant or a few clips every several inches. Salt air and vibration will test cheap tape, so don't give it the chance.

It's a 12V DC system, happy anywhere in the 10 to 15 volt range, so it wires straight into your house bank through a switch or an existing lighting circuit. On a full 5-meter run you might notice the far end going a touch dimmer or shifting color slightly. That's normal voltage drop on any long LED run, nothing wrong with the strip. If you're chasing perfectly even color across the whole length, feed power from both ends or split the run into shorter zones. Seal those cut ends properly, mount the driver somewhere with a little airflow instead of buried in a sealed locker, and this strip will ride out season after season.
