Lumishore ECLIPSE Command Center — Product description

The Lumishore ECLIPSE Command Center is the brain for your ECLIPSE boat lights. One compact box holds the drivers and gives you three configurable zones, expandable to six. Run it from your MFD, your phone over Wi-Fi, or a simple switch. Dimming, color, strobe, and sound-to-light are all built in. It's the piece that ties a clean lighting install together.

Boat lighting used to mean a mess of switches, separate drivers, and a rat's nest of wire behind the dash. The Lumishore ECLIPSE Command Center throws all of that out. It's a single ultra-compact box that holds the drivers and the control brains for your entire ECLIPSE lighting setup, and it lets you run everything from your MFD, your phone, or a plain switch. If you've been putting off a lighting upgrade because the wiring looked like a weekend you'd never get back, this is the part that makes it doable.

Here's the core of it. The Command Center gives you three configurable lighting zones right out of the box. Each zone can drive its own type of light and its own color, so you can run underwater lights on one zone, courtesy lighting on another, and accent strips on a third. Need more? Add expansion modules and you can push it to six zones total. Each zone handles up to 10 amps and as many as 16 lights, as long as the total draw for that zone stays at or under 10 amps. That's plenty of headroom for most center consoles and cruisers.

Control is where this thing really earns its spot. Built-in Wi-Fi lets you connect straight to a smart device, so you can dim, change colors, or fire off a sound-to-light show from your phone right at the sandbar. There's an ethernet port for wiring into a compatible MFD, which puts your lighting on the same screen you already use for charts and sonar. And if you just want the basics, you can wire a zone to a simple switch and be done. Most folks use a mix, MFD control at the helm and the app when they're off the boat.

The feature set is deep for such a small box. Dimming, full color selection, strobe, and sound-to-light are all built in. So you can set a calm white wash for docking and a color-cycling mode for the evening, and switch between them without touching the wiring. Lumishore's interface keeps it simple, which matters when you're doing this one-handed while the boat's moving.

On the protection side, Lumishore didn't cut corners. You get surge protection, low-voltage protection, and reverse-polarity protection built in, plus an IP67 rating on the enclosure so a little spray or a wet bilge won't kill it. The unit runs on 12V DC only, anywhere from 10 to 15 volts, with a max input draw of 30 amps across three fully loaded zones. Wire it to 24V and you'll damage it, so double-check your system voltage before you connect anything.

A few install notes from experience. Give the Command Center its own dedicated 12V circuit rather than tapping off your nav-light run. A shared circuit can drop enough voltage on startup to make the lights flicker, and that's an easy problem to avoid up front. Plan your light runs before you mount anything, especially on a 25 to 30 foot center console where you may need to drop the headliner to route cable cleanly. And put a dab of dielectric grease on the rear connector when you make it up. That connector is the one spot worth babying, and the grease keeps corrosion out over the long haul.

One thing to know: the app control can be tough to read in direct sun, so a lot of owners wire in a physical switch as a backup for at least one zone. It's a five-minute add during the install and it saves you squinting at a phone at high noon. The Command Center is built to pair with Lumishore's own ECLIPSE lights, and keeping the whole system in the family is the way to get the color sync and effects working the way they should.

So who's this for? Anyone running Lumishore ECLIPSE lights who wants real control without a cluttered dash. Center console owners, cruiser owners, and anyone who wants their underwater and accent lighting on the same screen as their electronics. It's backed by a 3-year warranty, and we're an authorized Lumishore dealer, so a warranty question comes straight back through us. If you're planning a lighting build this season, start here. It's the piece that ties the whole system together.

Frequently asked questions

How many lighting zones does the ECLIPSE Command Center support?

Three configurable zones right out of the box. Each one can run a different type of light and its own color. If you need more, expansion modules take you up to six zones total.

How many lights can I run on each zone?

Up to 16 lights per zone, with a hard limit of 10 amps of total current draw per zone. As long as your lights on that zone add up to 10 amps or less, you're good.

Can I control my lights from my phone?

Yes. The Command Center has built-in Wi-Fi, so you can connect a smart device directly and handle dimming, color changes, strobe, and sound-to-light from the app.

Does it work with my MFD?

It does. There's an ethernet port for connecting to a compatible MFD, which puts your lighting control right on the same display you use for charts and sonar.

What voltage does it need?

12V DC only, and it'll run anywhere from 10 to 15 volts. Do not connect it to 24V, that'll damage the unit. Max input draw is 30 amps across three fully loaded zones.

Is it waterproof?

The enclosure carries an IP67 rating, so it shrugs off spray and short bouts in a wet bilge. We still recommend mounting it somewhere reasonably dry and greasing the rear connector on install.

What protections are built in?

Surge protection, low-voltage protection, and reverse-polarity protection are all built in. That covers the most common ways a lighting controller gets fried on a boat.

Can I still use a plain switch instead of the app?

Yes. You can wire any zone to a simple switch for basic on and off control. A lot of owners run MFD or app control plus a physical switch as a sunlight backup.

Does it work with any brand of lights?

It's designed to run Lumishore's ECLIPSE lights, and keeping the whole system Lumishore is how you get the color sync and effects behaving correctly. The built-in drivers and zone setup are matched to that lineup.

What's the warranty?

It comes with a 3-year Lumishore warranty. We're an authorized Lumishore dealer, so any warranty question runs straight through us.
