Lowrance ActiveTarget 2 XL Trolling Motor Shaft Mount

The ActiveTarget 2 XL Shaft Mount is Lowrance's dedicated bracket for clamping the ActiveTarget 2 XL transducer onto a round trolling-motor shaft or pole. If your trolling motor doesn't use the integrated ActiveTarget attachment points, this is how you get the XL transducer riding steady and pointed where you need it. It's the same shaft mount that ships with ActiveTarget 2 XL transducer packages, offered here on its own for anglers who need a replacement or a second mount for another boat.

Fit is the whole story with a shaft mount, and this one is built around a cam-lock style clamp that grabs round shafts and poles from 27 to 33 mm in diameter, which works out to roughly 1 1/16 to 1 5/16 inches. That range covers Lowrance Ghost and Ghost X trolling motors along with plenty of other round shafts and jack-plate poles in that size band. The cam-lock design is what makes it easy to live with. You set the clamp, throw the lever, and the mount locks down without a fistful of tools. When you want to reposition or pull the transducer for transport, it's just as quick to release.

Once it's on the shaft, you've got real control over your view. The mount adjusts between a Forward and Down XL position and two Scout XL positions, labeled Scout XL Shallow and Scout XL Deep. Every position has a clear alignment indicator, so you can change your angle repeatably instead of guessing. The Forward and Down XL setting gives you a zero-degree offset, which keeps your bait and the fish centered in the same frame. That matters when you're watching a lure swim back to the boat and trying to read exactly how fish react to it. Drop into a Scout XL position when you'd rather sweep the area and mark structure or suspended schools around the boat.

Installation is friendly to first-timers. The kit includes a shaft collar sub-assembly, an arm sub-assembly, rubber spacers, and the assembly hardware. The rubber spacers are the detail that makes the difference across that 27 to 33 mm range. They let the clamp seat firmly on smaller shafts without crushing anything and without letting the transducer creep or rotate under way.
