Lewmar SWA Jack Plate Mount for Axis & Vector Anchors - White — Product description

The Lewmar SWA Jack Plate Mount solves a real problem for shallow water anchor owners. It bolts your Axis or Vector anchor to the side of your jack plate, so there's no drilling into the hull and no pulling the motor. One-piece aluminum, E-coated to fight corrosion, and it works on either side of the plate.

If you run a shallow water anchor off a jack plate, you already know the headache. Most mounting setups want you to drill into the hull or pull the outboard just to get everything lined up. This Lewmar bracket skips both. It bolts to the side of your jack plate and holds your Axis or Vector shallow water anchor right where you need it, with no holes in the transom and no wrestling the motor off its bracket. For anyone who's spent a Saturday reworking a mount, that alone is worth it.

Here's why the jack plate mount matters in the first place. A shallow water anchor is only as good as where it sits. Mount it too low and it drags. Put it where it fouls your motor and you'll curse it every time you tilt up. Setting the SWA on the jack plate keeps the spike high and out of the way when you're running, then drops it clean into the bottom when you stop. For skinny-water fishing, waiting out a tide, or holding a spot on a flat while you work a school, that positioning is everything.

It's machined from one piece of aluminum, so there's no welded seam to crack or flex under load. When your anchor spike drives into hard bottom and the boat swings on it, that bracket takes a real beating. A single-piece design handles that better than a bolt-together plate, and it means less hardware to back out on you down the road. The finish is E-coated, so it'll shrug off salt spray and the general abuse of a fishing deck for years.

The design is symmetrical, so it works on the port or starboard side of your jack plate. You pick the side that keeps your anchor clear of your rigging and prop. On a single-outboard center console in the 18 to 24 foot range, this is about as clean as SWA mounting gets. Twin-engine boats can run tighter on clearance, so measure your gap before you commit to a side.

If you run the Lewmar Quick Release bracket, this mount plays right along with it. That combo lets you pop the whole anchor off with basic hand tools when you trailer or store the boat, then drop it back on in a couple of minutes. No fighting bolts on the water. Storage over winter gets a lot simpler too. It's the setup we'd point you toward if you splash and pull the boat regularly instead of leaving it in a slip.

A couple of install notes from the field. The mounting hardware and instructions come in the box, but if your transom or jack plate runs thin, add a backing plate behind the bolts to spread the load. It keeps everything from working loose over time. And on a boat that sees real vibration, a dab of threadlocker or a set of locknuts on the mounting bolts is cheap insurance against a bracket that rattles free after a hard season. Before you pull an old bracket, trace the bolt pattern so you've got a reference when you set the new one.

So who's this for? Flats and bay anglers running an Axis or Vector who want a solid, drill-free mount. Folks who've added a jack plate and need to relocate the shallow water anchor without carving up the boat. It's a purpose-built accessory, not a universal bracket, so it's dialed in for Lewmar's own shallow water anchors and the Quick Release system. If that's what you're running, it's the right part. The white finish suits light hulls and T-tops, and Lewmar offers this same bracket in black if your setup leans darker. Genuine Lewmar hardware, sized right, with no guesswork on fitment.

Bottom line, it does one job and does it well. It gets your shallow water anchor mounted to your jack plate cleanly, keeps your hull intact, and holds up to the salt. We stock the genuine Lewmar part with the full manufacturer warranty behind it.

Frequently asked questions

Which anchors does this bracket work with?

It's built for the Lewmar Axis and Vector shallow water anchors. It's a purpose-made mount for those units, not a universal bracket.

Do I have to drill into my hull to install it?

No. The bracket attaches to the side of your jack plate, so you keep your transom and hull intact. That's the whole point of the design.

Do I need to remove my outboard to mount it?

No. It installs without pulling the motor, which saves you the biggest hassle of relocating a shallow water anchor.

Can I mount it on either side of the boat?

Yes. The design is symmetrical, so it works on the port or starboard side. Pick the side that keeps the anchor clear of your rigging and prop.

Is it compatible with the Lewmar Quick Release bracket?

Yes. Paired with the Quick Release bracket, you can remove the whole anchor with basic hand tools for trailering or storage, then reinstall it in a couple of minutes.

What's it made of?

One piece of aluminum with an E-coated finish. The single-piece build has no welded seam to crack, and the E-coat handles salt and UV exposure.

What comes in the box?

The jack plate mount bracket, mounting hardware, and installation instructions.

Does it come in other colors?

This one is white, which suits light hulls and T-tops. Lewmar also offers the same bracket in black within their line if your setup runs darker.

What boats is this best suited for?

It's a natural fit on jack-plate-equipped center consoles, especially single-outboard boats in the 18 to 24 foot range. On twin-engine setups, check your clearance before choosing a side.

Any install tips for a long-lasting mount?

On a thinner transom or jack plate, add a backing plate behind the bolts to spread the load. A little threadlocker or a set of locknuts also keeps the hardware from working loose under vibration.

What warranty does it carry?

It's covered by a 1-year Lewmar manufacturer warranty. We're an authorized Lewmar reseller, so any claim runs through us.
