Here's the setup it's built for. You run one heavy positive cable back from the battery, through your main fuse, to the block. The input terminal takes anything from 1/0 down to 4 AWG. From there, three output terminals each accept 4 to 8 AWG, so you can drop down to the right gauge for each amp's current draw.
