This is JL Audio's 2-channel twisted-pair interconnect, a 25-foot run of copper signal cable that carries a clean stereo signal from your source unit up to your amplifier. On a boat, your amplifier almost never sits next to your source unit. The head unit's up at the helm, and the amp's tucked in a locker or under a seat somewhere aft. That's a long signal run, and every foot of it is a chance to pick up alternator whine, pump noise, and all the electrical hash a boat throws off. The twisted-pair core is the part that matters.
