A couple of install tips from experience. Give yourself room behind the panel before you commit to a spot. The remote needs a bit of depth for the connector and the cable bend, so don't box it in tight against a stringer or a tank. Route the cable with gentle bends rather than hard kinks. And if you're mounting near a VHF or sharing a power run, pull a clean, separate 12V feed for that part of the network to keep any hum out of the audio. None of this is hard. It's just the stuff that saves you a callback.
