The heart of it is VX Technology. That's Humminbird's newest mapping engine, and the big win for anglers is the customizable color palettes. You're not stuck with one look. You set the highlight to that range and the map paints exactly that band across every piece of structure on the lake. Now you're not guessing where the contour sits. Shallow Water Highlight does the same job up top, throwing easy-to-see red shading over skinny water on an adjustable range from 0 to 60 feet. Wisconsin water levels move. Reservoirs draw down, the rivers swell after a wet week, and a chart that assumes full pool will lie to you about where the real edges are. Water Level Offset fixes that.
