Hella Marine USP300 Rechargeable LED Pocket Light

The Hella Marine ValueFit USP300 is the kind of light you end up reaching for more than any other one on the boat. It's small enough to live in a glovebox or a dry bag, and it charges off the same micro USB cable you've already got a dozen of. But the useful part is the folding body. The lamp head swings up to 270 degrees, so you can stand it on a workbench, hang it from the metal hook, or stick it to a steel bulkhead with the built-in magnet and aim the beam right where your hands are working.

You get three ways to run it. The flood mode throws a wide 300-lumen wash from a 3-watt LED, which is exactly what you want when you're wiring a panel or looking for a dropped nut down in the bilge. Every unit ships with the metal hanging hook, the magnet base, and a micro USB charging cable, so it's ready to go out of the box. The magnet holds on an engine block or a steel locker while you free up both hands, and the hook lets you hang it off a rail or a bimini bow. The clear lens keeps the color of the light honest, which matters when you're checking wire colors or reading the number off a fuse.

It crosses over well beyond the water, too.
