Keep the power runs short and use the fuse holder that comes in the kit. Don't tie both lamps straight to an unfused accessory tap and hope for the best.

The housings are black ABS plastic, which keeps the whole assembly light and rust-free. The stone shields snap over the lenses to protect the glass from gravel and brush while you're trailering or bushwhacking, then pop off when you actually need the light. And because these run a common H3 bulb, replacements are cheap and available almost anywhere. If one burns out down the line, you're back in business in a couple of minutes.
