Here's the thing a lot of folks miss about this cable. It's not a power cable. The Go Power GP-ADV-BC-400 is the data link that lets two Advanced Lithium batteries talk to each other and to the rest of your PowerTrak system. It carries communication, not charging current. So if you're building out a lithium house bank on your rig, this is the little cable that ties the pack together and keeps everything on the same page.

Modern lithium batteries aren't dumb blocks like the old flooded cells. Each Go Power Advanced Lithium battery runs its own battery management system watching cell voltage, temperature, and state of charge. When you wire two of them into one bank, you want those brains coordinated, not working in isolation. That's what this interconnection cable does. It runs the RV-C communication line between the batteries so the pack reports as one system. And if you're mounting the batteries with any real gap between them, step up to the longer cable instead of stretching this one.

Let's be clear about what this cable does not do, because it trips people up. It does not carry the charging or load current between your batteries. You still need proper battery cables, sized and fused for your bank, to move power. Think of this as the nervous system, not the muscle. The heavy copper handles the amps. This handles the conversation. Keep it routed away from your high-current cables where you can, secure it so it isn't flopping around on a rough road or in a chop, and seat both ends fully into the communication ports. That's really all there is to the install. One tip from the shop: label both ends or tuck a note in the battery bay so the next person who opens it up knows this is the data line and not a power lead. It saves a lot of head-scratching down the road.
