Garmin Dash Cam X310 4K Dash Camera with GPS and Wi-Fi — Product description

The Garmin Dash Cam X310 records the road in sharp 4K at 120 frames per second through a wide 140-degree lens. Built-in GPS stamps every clip with location and speed, the G-sensor saves footage automatically when it detects an impact, and Wi-Fi lets you pull clips straight to your phone with the Garmin Drive app.

The X310 is Garmin's compact 4K dash cam, and it's a lot of camera for how small it is. It shoots video at up to 4K and 120fps through a 140-degree diagonal lens, so you catch the full width of the road and the lane beside you. The built-in Clarity polarizer cuts windshield glare, which is the thing that ruins most dash cam footage in bright sun.

Every clip gets stamped with GPS location and speed. If someone taps you at a light, the G-sensor feels the jolt and locks that segment so it won't get overwritten by the next loop. That's the footage you actually want when you're sorting out a claim.

Setup is quick. Mount it to the windshield, drop in a microSD card of at least 8 GB, and wire it to a 12-volt source. The 2.41-inch color LCD lets you frame the shot and play clips back on the spot. Pair it over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with the Garmin Drive app and you can save or share footage from your phone without ever pulling the card. The internal lithium-ion battery runs up to 20 minutes off power, enough to finish saving a file after you shut the car off.

Frequently asked questions

What memory card does the Dash Cam X310 need?

It records to a microSD card of at least 8 GB. A larger card holds more looped footage before the oldest clips are overwritten, so size up if you drive a lot.

How does the X310 get power?

It runs off a 12-volt source in your vehicle. It also has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts up to 20 minutes, long enough to finish saving the current file after you turn the car off.

Does it record location and speed?

Yes. Built-in GPS tracking stamps each clip with location and speed data, and the G-sensor detects sudden impacts and locks those segments automatically.

What's the video and display quality?

It records up to 4K at 120fps through a 140-degree diagonal lens, with a built-in Clarity polarizer that reduces windshield glare. The 2.41-inch color TFT LCD at 480 x 272 pixels lets you frame and play back footage right on the camera.
