Garmin Bike Mount for eTrex Touch, GPSMAP H1 & inReach Mini 3

The Garmin Bike Mount is the simple, no-drama way to put your Garmin handheld right where you can see it while you ride. It's the factory mount, part number 010-13351-02, and it's built to snap your device onto the bars and get you rolling. No brackets to bolt on, no tools to dig out of the garage. You cable-tie the base to your handlebar or stem, click the device in, and go.

This one is made for Garmin's handheld and satellite communicator line. It fits the eTrex Touch, the GPSMAP H1 series, and the inReach Mini 3 and Mini 3 Plus. If you already ride with one of those in your pack or your jersey pocket, this gets it up on the bars and into your line of sight where a map actually does you some good. One mount covers several devices, so if you upgrade your handheld down the road, odds are good the mount comes right along with you.

Here's the one catch worth knowing up front. If you're running an inReach Messenger or an inReach Messenger Plus, this mount alone won't hold it. Those two need the separate Cradle Mount accessory to seat properly. It's an easy add, but it's not in this box, so order it alongside if the Messenger is your device. For the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Plus, you're all set with what's included.

Installation is about as easy as it gets. The mount ships with four cable ties, and it fits any round bar up to 1 inch, which is 2.54 cm, in diameter. That covers the vast majority of road and mountain bike handlebars and plenty of stems too. Loop the ties through the base, cinch them down around the bar, trim the tails, and you've got a solid platform. Because it ties on rather than clamping with hardware, you can move it from one bike to another in a couple of minutes, or pull it off entirely when you don't need it.

Once the base is on, the device just snaps in. The seat holds the unit firmly so it won't rattle loose over rough pavement or a washboard fire road. And it keeps the unit up in your line of sight, so a quick glance is all it takes to check your track, your heading, or an incoming message. That's the whole point of getting the device off your body and onto the bars. You keep your eyes up and your hands on the grips.

A word of straight talk, since that's how we do it. This is a cycling accessory first and foremost. The plastic is made for bike-handlebar duty, not for permanent mounting out in the weather on a boat, where constant sun and salt will shorten the life of just about any plastic mount. If you want a Garmin display or communicator on the water, we'd point you toward gear built for the marine deck instead.
