Egis Power Post Plus 3/8" 250A Single Stud Post

Egis Mobile Electric has spent more than 25 years building electrical gear for boats, emergency fleets, and other hard-working vehicles. The Power Post Plus is one of those quiet parts that makes a clean install possible. It's a single 3/8-inch stainless steel stud sitting on an insulated nylon base, rated for 250 amps continuous. Think of it as one solid point where you land a heavy battery cable and branch power or ground out to everything else.

Here's why you'd want one. On most boats, the factory power distribution gets ugly fast. You add a stereo, a fish finder, a bilge pump, a couple of accessory circuits, and before long you've got five ring terminals stacked on a single battery post, all fighting for room. That's exactly how loose connections, voltage drop, and green corrosion creep in. A Power Post Plus fixes that. Run one cable from the battery to the stud, then land your branch circuits on the same post. Clean, tight, and easy to service later.

The stud is 3/8 inch, which is M10 in metric, so it accepts the standard 3/8-inch ring terminals you've probably already got crimped on your marine battery cable. No special adapters. One more spec worth knowing. This post is rated to 80 volts DC, so it covers 12-volt and 24-volt marine systems with a healthy margin to spare. You're never going to push it near its ceiling on a normal boat. That margin is part of why it runs cool and lasts. And because the base is insulated nylon, you don't have to fuss over clearances the way you would with a bare metal terminal block. Mount it where it makes sense for your cable runs.

A quick note on what this is and isn't. It's a single-stud post. If you need to gang up a dozen small circuits, you'll want more than one of these, or a multi-stud bus bar. But for a clean single junction, a main ground point, or a positive distribution tie, the single Power Post Plus is exactly the right tool. A lot of folks run two, one as a positive post and one as a negative ground post, for a tidy and serviceable DC system.
