Egis 3211-08 A-Series 8A Toggle Circuit Breaker — Product description

The Egis Mobile Electronics A-Series toggle breaker protects and switches an 8-amp circuit from one spot on your panel. It's a magnetic-hydraulic breaker rated for both AC and DC, with a black toggle that doubles as the on/off switch.

The Egis A-Series toggle breaker is a clean way to protect and switch an 8-amp circuit on your boat. It's a magnetic-hydraulic breaker, so it trips on real overcurrent instead of a cheap thermal guess, and the black toggle doubles as your on/off switch. Flip it off to kill the circuit, and if it ever trips, you just flip it back on. No fuses to carry, no fumbling in a drawer.

It drops into standard panels built for A-Series and C-Series breakers, and the mounting screws come in the pack. We like these for pumps, nav lights, electronics, and accessory feeds where you want the protection and the switch in one spot on the dash. Rated to 277 Vac and 80 Vdc, it covers both AC and DC loads.

It's UL 1077 listed with a 5kA interrupt capacity, so it holds up on boats running big paralleled battery banks with a lot of available current. Egis backs it with a 4-year warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Is this breaker for AC or DC circuits?

Both. It's rated to 277 Vac and 80 Vdc, so you can use it on AC or DC loads up to its 8-amp continuous rating.

Does it need a separate switch?

No. The toggle is the switch. Flip it to turn the circuit on or off, and it also trips automatically on an overcurrent, so you reset it the same way.

What panels does it fit?

It mounts in standard panels cut for A-Series and C-Series magnetic-hydraulic breakers. The mounting screws are included in the pack.

How much fault current can it safely interrupt?

Its interrupt capacity is 5kA at 277 Vac and 1.5kA at 80 Vdc, which is why it's safe on large paralleled battery banks with high available current.
