The Mach 8 Plus is Coleman's low-profile 15,000 BTU rooftop unit, and the low profile is the whole point. At 8.3 inches tall it sits closer to the roofline than a standard high-profile A/C, so you get a little more garage clearance and a bit less wind drag going down the highway. It's finished in textured black to blend with darker roofs.
You get 15,000 BTU of cooling pulling 12.1 amps on the compressor, running off standard 120-volt shore power or a generator that can carry the startup load. It works ducted or non-ducted, so it fits everything from a single-zone camper to a longer coach with roof ducting already run. It drops into the standard 14 by 14 inch roof vent opening most RVs already have.
A couple of things to know before you buy. This is the cooling-only version, so there's no heat pump and no condensate pump built in. And the ceiling assembly, the part that finishes the install on the inside, has to be ordered separately to match your ducted or non-ducted setup.
