Coleman Mach 8 15,000 BTU Low-Profile RV Rooftop Air Conditioner — Product description

The Coleman Mach 8 is a low-profile 15,000 BTU rooftop air conditioner built to keep a full-size RV cool without adding much height up top. It drops into a standard 14 by 14 inch vent opening, runs on 120-volt shore power, and comes with a built-in condensate pump to clear water off the roof.

If you've spent an afternoon parked in the sun, you already know how hard your RV's air conditioner has to work. The Mach 8 puts out a full 15,000 BTU, which is plenty for a larger coach or a trailer that heats up fast. And at just 8.3 inches tall, it sits low on the roof, so you get less drag going down the highway and fewer clearance headaches at a low overhang or in the garage.

This one runs on standard 120-volt power and pulls 12.7 amps at the compressor, so it plays nice with normal shore power. It'll work ducted or non-ducted, which means it drops into just about any air distribution setup you've already got. The built-in condensate pump is the nice touch here. It pushes water off the roof instead of letting it pool up top or drip down the side.

One thing to know before you order. This is the rooftop unit only. The ceiling assembly, the part that finishes the install on the inside, has to be ordered separately. It's textured white to blend in with most RV roofs, and there's no heat pump on this model, so it's cooling only.

Frequently asked questions

What size roof opening does the Mach 8 fit?

It's built for a standard 14 inch by 14 inch RV roof vent opening, which is the most common size on coaches and trailers.

Does this air conditioner include the ceiling assembly?

No. This is the rooftop unit only. The ceiling assembly, which finishes the install on the inside, has to be ordered separately.

Can it be used in both ducted and non-ducted systems?

Yes. The Mach 8 works in either a ducted or non-ducted setup, so it fits most RV air distribution configurations.

Does it have a heat pump or provide heat?

No. This model ships without a heat pump, so it's a cooling-only unit.

Is a condensate pump included?

Yes. It comes with a built-in condensate pump that pushes water off the roof so it doesn't pool or drip down the side.
