Coleman-Mach 8 Ultra-Low Profile 15,000 BTU RV Air Conditioner — Product description

The Coleman-Mach 8 is an ultra-low profile 15,000 BTU rooftop air conditioner built for RVs, trailers, and campers with a standard 14 by 14 inch roof vent opening. It runs on 120 volt shore power, comes set up for ducted or non-ducted air, and includes a condensate pump to move water off the roof. RoughNeck construction handles rough roads.

If you've ever tried to keep a travel trailer cool in July, you know rooftop clearance is everything. The Coleman-Mach 8 sits in the RoughNeck line, and it's an ultra-low profile unit, so it keeps a small footprint on the roof and cuts drag when you're towing down the highway. It puts out 15,000 BTU, which is enough to hold temperature in most single-zone rigs and plenty of larger ones too.

It drops into a standard 14 by 14 inch vent opening and works ducted or non-ducted, so it fits both new builds and older campers you're upgrading. You get a condensate pump built in, which pushes water off the roof instead of letting it pool. It runs on standard 120 volt power and pulls 12.7 amps at the compressor. There's no heat pump on this one, so it's cooling only.

One thing to plan for. The ceiling assembly isn't included and has to be ordered separately, so figure that into your parts list before install day.

Frequently asked questions

Does this unit include a heat pump?

No. This is a cooling-only air conditioner. It doesn't have a heat pump, so it won't provide heat.

What size roof opening does it need?

It fits a standard 14 by 14 inch vent opening, the same cutout most RVs and trailers already use.

Can I run it with ducted air?

Yes. The Mach 8 works both ducted and non-ducted, so it fits new builds and older campers being upgraded.

Is the ceiling assembly included?

No. The ceiling assembly has to be ordered separately. Add it to your parts list before you start the install.

What power does it need?

It runs on 120 volt shore power and draws 12.7 amps at the compressor, so plan your breaker and power supply accordingly.
