On the other side, the air conditioner sitting up on the roof of your rig. This assembly is what lets the two talk. It pairs the gateway network with the unit control box, so the temperature you set inside actually reaches the compressor and fan on the roof.

Here's how the system is laid out. The Bluetooth wall thermostat sends your commands over a short-range wireless link to the gateway. The gateway hands those commands to the unit control box, which is the board wired directly into the rooftop air conditioner. Cooling, fan speed, whatever mode you picked, it all routes through here.
