It's just something to weigh if your rig lives in Arizona versus the Pacific Northwest.

Installation is straightforward. You'll pull the old shroud off, which usually means removing a handful of screws or a set of retaining nuts depending on how the original was fastened, lift the damaged cover away, and set the new two-piece shroud in place.
