Give the hinges something solid to bite into and this top will ride out a blow just fine. On a fiberglass V-hull with a proper gunwale, standard mounting works without any fuss, and you can have the whole thing rigged in an afternoon with basic hand tools.

When you're done for the day, the top folds down into the included storage boot. That's a nice touch that a lot of tops skip. The boot keeps the folded fabric clean on the trailer and stops it flogging in the wind at speed. Zip it up, and you're not staring at a wad of loose vinyl bungeed to the bow.

Who's this not for? If you've got a boat with a wide center console or a beam well over 62 inches, look at a wider Carver size instead. This one is dialed in for the narrower open boats. And if you want power-assist raising, that's a different top entirely. This is a manual 2-bow, plain and simple, and that's the whole appeal. Fewer parts, less to break, and shade when you need it most.
