This is replacement fabric only, not a complete top with poles and hardware. It's cut to fit 1 inch square and 1-1/4 inch square tube frames up to 102 inches wide, with an 8 foot length front to back. If that matches the frame already on your boat, this canvas will snap and lace on right where the old one came off. Measure your existing top before you order. The width and the tube size both have to line up, and square-tube hardware doesn't play nice with a round-tube frame.

The fabric is solution-dyed acrylic, the same Sunbrella and Outdura grade canvas Carver builds their factory tops from. That matters more than it sounds. Solution-dyed means the color goes all the way through the fiber instead of sitting on the surface, so it holds up to UV far longer than a coated polyester top. Pacific Blue is a deep, classic marine color that looks right on just about any pontoon. It's water repellent, mildew resistant, and treated to fight the sun, which is exactly what you want stretched over your family on a July afternoon.

A few things we've learned from boaters running these tops. On wider beams the 8 foot length can sag a little in the center over time, so if your frame is on the broad end, a center support strap keeps it drum-tight. The mildew resistance is real, but it only works if you put the canvas away dry. Roll up a damp top and you'll find black spots in a few months, so let it breathe before you stow it. And rinse the salt off now and then. Pacific Blue fades slowly, but salt rings will show on any dark canvas if you let them bake in.

Swapping the canvas is straightforward on most frames. Strip the old top off the bows, then work the new one over the same frame, front bow first, and snap or lace it down as you go. Take your time getting the tension even so the fabric sits flat with no low spots that puddle rainwater. Most folks knock this out in an afternoon with a second set of hands to hold the bows. No special tools, no sewing, no trip to a canvas shop.
