The Camco 55155 is one of those little adapters that saves your weekend. It's a 12-inch dogbone that pairs a 30-amp male plug (NEMA TT-30P) with a 15-amp female receptacle (NEMA 5-15R). In plain terms, it lets a 15-amp cord pull power from a 30-amp campground pedestal. You plug the fat 30-amp end into the post, and your regular 15-amp shore cord plugs into the other end. Done.

So who actually needs this? Say you've got a pop-up, a small travel trailer, or a teardrop that runs off a standard 15-amp cord, and you roll into a site that only has a 30-amp outlet on the pedestal.
