Here's the thing about an RV roof vent. It's basically a hole in your ceiling with a thin plastic lid over it. Great for airflow. Terrible for holding a temperature. In the summer the sun beats down on that dome and radiates heat straight into the cabin. In the winter, all the warm air your furnace works so hard to make rises up and slips right out through it.
