Camco 44500 RV Leveling Block Caps, Set of 4

If you've ever stacked a few Camco leveling blocks under a low tire and wished the top sat flat instead of that open waffle grid, this is the fix. The Camco 44500 is a set of four leveling block caps that snap right onto the top of your existing Camco blocks. They give you a smooth, even surface to rest a jack, a stabilizer foot, or a tire on. No more balancing a scissor jack on the exposed lattice.

There are two ways we use them. The first is joining a single layer of blocks together. Say you only need one block's worth of height under the tongue jack or a stabilizer. Drop a cap across two adjacent blocks and they interlock into one solid, connected pad instead of two loose pieces that want to slide apart. That matters on gravel or soft ground where a single block can rock or tip.

The second way is capping the top of a taller stack. When you've built up three or four blocks to reach a badly sloped site, the caps close off that open grid on top so your jack foot or tire sits on a flat plate. And here's the part people like: the caps don't add real height to the stack. So you're not throwing off your careful leveling just to get a better surface. You get the flat top at whatever height you already dialed in.

They're molded from durable, UV-stabilized plastic, so they hold up to sun, rain, and getting tossed in a bin in the bay season after season. Anyone who's left cheap plastic out in the sun knows how fast it turns brittle and cracks. The UV stabilizer is what keeps these from going that way, which is exactly what you want from gear that lives outside every trip.

The caps come in the same bright yellow as Camco's leveling blocks. That isn't just for looks. Yellow gear is easy to spot in the grass at dusk when you're breaking camp, so you're less likely to pull out and leave a set behind. It happens more than you'd think.

Use a cap on top of a single block to build a stable jack pad for a scissor jack, a trailer tongue jack, an RV stabilizer, or under a wheel. The flat top spreads the load better than the open block face, which is easier on the jack foot and less likely to punch through on soft dirt or grass.

Leveling a rig well is mostly about a flat, solid base under each contact point. The blocks get you the height. The caps get you the flat surface on top. Put them together and you take a lot of the guesswork out of setup, especially on sites that slope in two directions at once. Even on a hard concrete or asphalt pad, the flat cap keeps a jack foot or stabilizer from rocking on the raised ridges of a bare block.
