The Camco 40637 is the 5-micron replacement sediment cartridge for the EVO X2 Dual Stage Premium Water Filter Kit. It's the first stage of a two-stage setup, the one that catches the grit before it ever reaches the carbon block. And it's a wear part. Once it's loaded up with sand, rust flecks, and scale, you swap it out and your water runs clear again.

Here's how the dual-stage layout works. Raw water comes into the housing and hits this spun polypropylene sediment filter first. The 5-micron rating means it traps particles down to 5 microns, so you're pulling out the sand, silt, rust, and sediment that make water look cloudy and taste gritty. That protects the second-stage carbon block downstream, which handles the finer taste-and-odor work. Skip the sediment stage and that carbon block clogs early. Run them together and each one lasts the way it's supposed to.

The cartridge itself is standard 2-1/2 inch by 10 inch, which is the most common canister size out there. So it drops into the EVO X2 housing, and it fits most other 2-1/2 inch by 10 inch canister-style housings too.
