Camco 39623 Revolution 10-Ft RV Sewer Hose Extension

When your RV site sits a little farther from the sewer connection than your main hose can reach, this is the piece that closes the gap. The Camco 39623 is a 10-foot extension from Camco's Revolution line, built to add length to a hose run without adding hassle. It's a single 10-foot hose with a 3-inch diameter, a swivel lug fitting on one end and a swivel bayonet fitting on the other, so it links straight into a standard bayonet setup and turns your existing 10-footer into a roughly 20-foot reach.

The hose wall is 15-mil HTS vinyl in Camco's brown finish. That wall thickness gives you a hose that stays flexible when you're wrestling it into place but has enough body to shrug off the scuffs and drags that come with pulling a hose across gravel and concrete pads. In cooler weather the vinyl stays workable enough to coil, and in summer heat it won't go limp on you. Brown hides the grime a sewer hose picks up over a season, so it still looks presentable coiled in the bumper.

The fittings are the real story here. Both ends rotate. So you're not fighting the whole length of hose to line up the tabs. You spin the collar, drop it onto the mating lugs, and lock it. No cross-threading, no kneeling in the dirt twisting a stiff hose. The 3-inch diameter is the RV standard, so the bayonet end mates with the standard three-prong bayonet inlets you find at most dump stations and campground sewer connections, and the swivel lug end couples to another bayonet hose. Because both ends swivel independently, you can twist one end to lock into the ground inlet and the other to line up with your rig's outlet without kinking the hose in between.

Who actually needs a sewer hose extension? Anybody who's pulled into a site and found the dump connection is 12 or 15 feet away with a single 10-foot hose in the bay. It happens more than you'd think, especially at older parks and boondocking spots with a shared dump station. Rather than repositioning the whole rig, you snap this on the end and you're done. It's also handy when the sewer inlet sits at an awkward angle and you need a little slack to get a downhill slope going. It doesn't come with a clear elbow, a 4-in-1 dump-station adapter, or the caps and wire guards you'd find in one of Camco's full sewer hose kits. So if you're starting from scratch and need the elbow and adapter too, grab a complete kit. But if you already run a Camco bayonet-style hose and just need more reach, this drops right in because it shares the same fitting standard.

A couple of field notes from years of dumping tanks. Always pull the black tank first, then the gray, because the gray water flushes the soap and cleaner residue through the hose and leaves it a lot nicer to store. Give the hose a quick rinse when you're done, compress it down, cap both ends if you've got caps handy, and stow it out of direct sun. UV is what eventually breaks a vinyl hose down, not the waste passing through it. And keep it separate from your fresh-water gear, always. That's just good RV hygiene.

It's a simple piece of equipment, but the right length at the right moment is what saves you from a mess at the dump station. Keep one in the bay and you'll stop second-guessing whether the next site's connection is in reach, and you'll never have to reposition the whole rig just to make a hookup.
